~~~~~ Dennison Mansion ~~~~~ Cold evening.
Jia Dennison (Alix's mother.) sat with a sulking expression on her face, her always sparkling pretty eyes looked dull and almost lifeless. She looked like a pregnant mother who had just lost her unborn child through miscarriage, she sat without any aim or motives just staring at the mansion's door waiting for Alix to come home or walk inside with a bright smile like she usually did. "Alix, come to mother. I miss you so much, don't do this to me. Alix.." Jia mumbled in an inaudible voice to herself, big fat tears fell from her beautiful blue eyes which Alix got from her.
Mr. Dennison sighed gazing at his wife from the top of the stairs, his expression was no less than his wife but the tears in his eyes refused to fall. He too was missing his beautiful daughter, he had sent men to search for her in the whole of city C but she was nowhere to be found. He slowly climbed down the stairs walking towards Jia, a fake smile stretched on his lips so he would look more cheerful than his wife at least. "Jia, you have been sitting here the whole day. Why don't you come with me to the room and get some rest?"
Mr. Dennison said holding onto her shoulders, he squatted before his wife looking at her with a worried expression on his face. His face had little resemblance to Alix, also Alix got her red hair from her father. "I don't want to, I want to wait for my Alix to come home to me. Did you find her? Did they manage to find my Alix?" Jia questioned looking down at her husband's face with a hopeful expression, her dull eyes lit up a little bit.
"No Jia, I could not find her. My men couldn't find her, she disappeared into tiny air. But don't worry about that, I know our Alix is alright and will come running to us very soon." Mr. Dennison muttered keeping an optimistic expression on his face to convince his wife.
"Really? Will she come home? But I want to see her soon, I want to see my Alix soon. Alix should come back home to me." Jia mumbled refusing to listen to her husband, the maids standing nearby all gazed at her with worried and sad expressions on their faces. They felt sad for the madam having loosed her daughter, they all hoped too that the young Miss was alright and not hurt.
Mr. Dennison knelt beside his wife still trying to convince her to get some rest but Jia kept refusing continuously glancing at the door now and then. As he tried his best to convince her, the door of the mansion pushed open and they both stood up on their feet immediately gazing at the door with smiles curved on their faces. "My Alix is home now, my Alix is home already. See I told you she will come." Jia chattered pulling Mr. Dennison with her towards the door, the maids too smiled in anticipation and happiness at the arrival of the young miss.
The door pushed open and Sophia walked in hand in hand with Jade, spoiling and souring the heavy atmosphere. "You? What are you doing here? Both of you get out now, I don't want to see your horrible faces." Jia screamed at them both, her eyes glaring at them.
The sad and helpless look in her eyes turned into anger and the intent to kill, "mom, mom doesn't say that." Sophia muttered in a coy voice trying to step closer to Jia but Mr. Dennison blocked her way, stopping her attempts.
Sophia's expression morphed into a sad look, her black eyes and big eyes trying to release water drops. Her oval face and red hair gave her an innocent overall look but it did nothing or little to convince her parents to listen to her, "get out of here Sophia, you are not needed in this mansion. You don't have any place in this family anymore, get yourself out of here and the nonsense young man standing with you. Or I will be forced to ask the guards to get rid of you." Mr. Dennison remarked in an angry tone, he held onto his sobbing wife in his arms.
"Dad! You can't kick us out like that, just let us explain to you for a moment, please. Please Dad, just listen to me already." Sophia mumbled, tears dropping from her dark eyes to look convincing enough.
"Yes father-in-law, just listen to us for a brief time. Please just hear us out." Jade muttered interfering in the Dennison family matter. "Father-in-law? How dare you call me father-in-law, I am not your father-in-law. Don't call me by that despicable name" Mr. Dennison grumbled out with an angry expression on his face. "Get out of here, I don't want to see your faces in here." Mr. Dennison screamed.
"But dad... Dad, you can't do this to me. Dad" Sophia muttered pitifully trying to gain sympathy from her father and the onlookers but it was void and pointless. "Guards, take her away from my sight this instant." Mr. Dennison growled out and the guards immediately ran into position to get her out.
"Dad. Dad. Dad please no." Sophia screamed out as she was been dragged out by the guards. "Father-in-law, father inlaw please just listen to us and hear our side of the story for a moment."
Jade echoed but it was already too late, they were dragged out by the guards outside the mansions gates. "I want my daughter, Alix I wonder where Alix ran off to. Alix. I... Want... My... Alix... Back..." Jia trembled in her husband's hand sniffing and clinging onto him as she slowly lost consciousness.
"Jia, you will be alright okay? I will find Alix no matter what it takes." Mr. Dennison promised to pick her up into his hands. "Tell them to find her no matter what, I am not a big businessman for nothing." He mumbled to the maud who immediately ran out.
