บท 169: Never Let You Go

Damien swiped the claws across Markus's face, causing him to let out a blood-curdling cry. Blood splattered all across the arena floor. Damien didn't just stop with one swipe.

"You aren't worthy of saying her name! Keep her name out of your mouth you pathetic mutt!" Damien roared in anger as he continued to attack Markus without care.

His rage and anger had overtaken him.

"Damien…" Safira called out to him when she realized what was happening.

Bronco was stunned too, though he was not surprised. Alpha wolves were always very protective of their mates. Insulting them would send any of them over the edge. He knew that from personal experience.

"Starlight!" Safira yelled with every last bit of strength she had left, hoping it would get through to her mate.

Lucky for her, it did.

Damien shook his head as he came back to his senses. Blood dripped from the silversteel claws. His heart was pounding in his ear as he looked at Markus' bloodied disfigured face.
