Damien trusted Safira with his soul, but he was not about to watch her drown to death. He left the Great Hall in secret and asked to meet High Priestess Adrianna in private.

The entire situation had him on edge. Yukon shared his anxiety too. The wolf had sworn to tear everyone in the Great Hall apart. If their mate was to die by Silverbath, they didn't intend on living either.

"Adrianna, is there any way I can meet with the Moon Goddess? I know for certain Safira is my mate, I don't know what happened to the Heart Moonstone but-"

She stopped him from continuing any further. The expression on her face was unreadable.

"Alpha, how far are you willing to go to save your mate?" The High Priestess asked.

Damien was taken aback by her question. He had assumed she would first scold him for what transpired.

"As far as it takes," he replied with conviction.

"Even if it puts your own life at risk?" She asked him again, with furrowed brows.
