บท 180: Testing the waters

The Magus Maximus stared for a moment without uttering any words. He could tell that even though the man gave off a nonchalant vibe, he was sure that Rigel was serious. He sighed and shook his head, it was not the time to let his mind wander.

"Yes, you just behave yourself and focus on what we are talking about," the arrogance in his voice was dripping.

"Hah, such a pretentious bastard." The Magus suddenly changed his demeanor and openly glared at Cygnus.

"I'm not the only pretentious bastard in here though, why aren't you including yourself?" Cygnus wasn't fazed even after he received a glare.

"You talk too much," the Magus frowned. He was not a fan of long conversations but the man for some reason was insisting on talking with him.

"You should be lucky then because you are talking to me," the master's grin widened and you could hear the haughtiness in his voice.
