In a large gathering outside the palace, the king sat down on the highest chair, while his two wives sat down on each of his sides.

He tapped his foot to the ground three times before he voiced out, "Where are the guards I called to summon the vampiress?"

Mr. Noah Travers, a man who looked like in his fifties, responded. "Your Majesty, I have a bad feeling about this."

His Majesty, King Griffin of Greensville ordered, "Tell his Beta to bring him here. If we can't force any word out of the prisoner, we should condone that and focus on the growth of our town, first."

Mr. Travers nodded and whispered some words to a guard, who bowed and immediately walked away.

Everyone in the gathering was seated as it was announced that the king had something to say to the people.

There were a few whispers as the king of the neighborhood kingdom walked in with a gorgeous young woman and two guards trailing behind them.
