"Don't put your stinky body on me!"
Simone who had been somehow noticing the Vampiress's abrupt change in emotions stared at her again but did not say anything.
He looked at Zack instead for some seconds and Zack nodded at him. They had both communicated with the mind link.
After a second, Simone held the prisoner tightly and said, "Oran, why do you allow her to be so close to you? She is definitely planning something. What if she removes a knife and stabs you in your chest?"
Oran looked at the prisoner who had a hard gaze on her and a slow smirk. Seeing this, he was annoyed with her and grabbed her away from Simone. He took her hands and twisted them backwards, he held both hands tightly and grabbed her hair, making her face back so that he could see her. "What are you trying to do, you woman?"
Hazel on the other side suddenly gained more strength, she kicked the guard as his body pressed on hers. "Let me go, you bastard!" She screamed but then, she received a hot, brain-wavering slap from Simone who was standing near her and looking at her with disgust, primarily painted on his face. He seemed to have a personal grudge against vampires for him to easily catch on to whatever she was planning to do.
"Oh, you still have the strength to talk, huh?" Oran shouted. He pulled her hair roughly and pushed her to the nearest wall. He hit her head on the hard, cold rock of the corridors and smiled as he heard a cry of pain from her.
Zack only stood there staring at the three of them.
Simone walked to where Oran was and grabbed the prisoner's neck, "Tell me, what were you trying to do?!"
Hazel looked at the man's gray eyes, it made her recall the same grey eyes she saw fourteen years ago which instantly turned bloody red. She blinked out the image and spat on him instead. Only for Simone to tighten his hold around her neck as if to strangle her,
He rubbed off her spit away from his face and turned to face her again, "How dare you?!" He said and just immediately, Hazel felt some claws piercing into her neck she groaned in pain, trying to wriggle her hands off the man that was holding her. She felt very weak than the previous time but then, she also felt that there was a tiny rush of coolness coming into her skin as the second last, which gave her more strength to pull up with the injuries she had acquired from the cruel guards.
Tired of all this fight just on a young female, Zack walked closer to them and released Simone's hand on her neck, though he was restricting, he finally let go but his eyes were still fixed on her.
"Keep calm, Simone. Anything might go wrong once the full moon is up," Zack said, almost happy that they had not killed the prisoner out of their anger. He grabbed Simone's shoulder and then faced Oran,
"I think you should take her to the dungeon already. We are both heading to the pack." He paused a bit as he also looked at the prisoner whose cheek was stuck on the wall, with dried black blood lacing from her forehead to the sides of her eyes, and then he continued,
"Or do you think you are not capable of handling this feisty one?" He joked but the joke did not seem to land well as Oran released his fume to the girl, by pushing her to the wall, more tightly and restricting her. Zack smiled seeing this while Simone just looked blankly at the prisoner, "If you are, we are off, then."
He grabbed Simone's hand, urging him to follow, Simone did not agree initially but he later turned around.
Oran watched as the both of them walked away, he looked at the prisoner and said, "I might just tear you apart if you do not comply with me."
Hazel shook her head when he stopped pushing her to the walls. He brought out a small handcuff from his pocket and locked her both wrists together. He repeated, "If you try to act funny, I will definitely, tear you apart."
As if Hazel was amused that this poor guard had to say it again she gave it a try to annoy him. "I am sure you would get into trouble if you try that."
The guard's eyebrows were furrowed together as he watched her, speechless of how to return her words. He could not say no because he knew the repercussion if he went against the leaders to fulfill his will. That reality made him annoyed. Even more annoyed when he noticed that the prisoner was not a bit scared of him.
Hazel had taken a few things she had learnt from their conversation, especially the fact that the guards in the palace had no idea of how the vampires fight nor did they have a sight of how powerful they were. So it made sense if this werewolf was wary of her. The only fact they knew was that they were more powerful than the vampires as far as their warriors could overcome their lands.
And there was something that scared her right now. It was the fact that one of them said that the full moon would appear this night.
It only meant that they would be more vicious during that specific time.
She ensured that she would do nothing that would make them go berserk on her just when the full moon shows but then, this wasn't entirely right because in one of the techniques she had learnt from her mother, she figured out that the werewolves became the most powerful immediately the full moon appears, so she was planning to do something against them at that period.
Unfortunately, she had no idea that she would use this technique so quickly because she had no idea that the full moon was going to appear this night.
With what she had learnt from her mother, the only way that she could do to overpower the Werewolves bit by bit in her stay here was to follow the techniques. Though some of the techniques looked rather dangerous, she wanted to try her luck. But she knew that with the technique she had planned to try out today on a full moon, she might get killed in the process. It would not happen only if she ensured that all that her mother had said was the exact thing she would do.
But honestly, the more she thought of what she was going to do, tonight, the more fear stripped itself naked in her mind.
Creation is hard, cheer me up! VOTE for me!
After shutting out of her reverie, she looked at the guard and said, "I am not exactly your prisoner, am I?"
The guard held on to her arm tightly when he heard those words from her but he did nothing further, he only continued dragging her along with him. They were almost at the dungeon in which the Beta had informed them to put her, but this crazy vampiress kept delaying and pushing herself backwards from moving forward. "You don't need me to burn your bleeding hair off your head and make you bald already, right?" He asked, his voice was hoarse and Hazel noticed something from his words and actions.
He was scared that he could burst out and lose his control and in the end, end up ripping her apart. That was something beneficial to her, she thought.
The guard looked at the prisoner, he was scared that hearing more of what this vampiress had to say might make him really go aggressive, he did not want to risk that so he tried setting a barrier across his ears. But how when she was this close to her and annoying the hell out of him?!
"Keep quiet!"
"Why should I?" Hazel voiced back. She blew the hair that was entering her mouth as she spoke and tried removing the strand of her hair off her face when it still disturbed her. She raised her handcuffed hands to her face but this guard held unto her arm as if planning to break the bones there.
"Because once you continue to behave this way, you might really not see the end of today."
"I will," she argued and it did nothing but make the guard chuckle in disbelief at this vampiress's sudden change. She completely changed from a weak person to a garrulous being and he even hated the change more. "I will see the end of this day because I will." She paused and then continued, "Let me remind you that I am not a prisoner but a hostage. Just like what I have deduced from everyone in this pack, you all want to capture the witch queen and gain control over the witches?"
She shook her head as if that thought alone made her astounded, "that is unbelievable, and do not think I will just tell you the abode of the witches just by kicking me into a dungeon and starving. That will do me nothing."
"As I said, keep your energy for your future hunger!"
"You should keep your energy for your weakness just after the full moon, you bleeding dog. Like I have learnt, your souls become the weakest creature ever after a full moon, it is such a pity that you all are pathetic monsters. Yes, that is who you all are?!" She shouted, her eyes twinkling with pure courage.
"That is a lovely rumour you have heard. Do not be scared when a pup bites your arm off you just after a full moon." This statement created a shocked expression on Hazel's face and she frowned, trying to know if whatever this man was saying was the truth. If it wasn't, it only meant that the technique she had planned to try on this full moon that was approaching was never going to work. "I see that you are shocked. No matter what you plan on doing to escape, you would end up sitting down your ass cheeks in the cold dungeon where you would almost rot else you confess."
"I see where all these are going through. You are trying to scare me huh? What do you do if I tell your bleeding Alpha-" before she could continue her words, he held more tightly onto her arm again before pulling her to him, his hand went to her neck just like what Simone had previously done.
Hazel wasn't expecting this so she blinked, her heart was racing as if she had just run fifty laps around the entire pack houses.
"If you talk badly of our alpha, I am sure that I would not be restricted nor blamed to rip your head off your sweaty neck."
"Ah..." She said slowly and he removed his hand and breathed heavily. She continued, "Let's see what that same Alpha says when he realises that the guards are following the Beta's instructions rather than his. Let's see who he would be blaming by then, Oran." She mentioned his name.
She had learnt that mentioning one's name in a conversation made the person feel more pulled or affected in the conversation. She was doing her best to intimidate this guard instead of trying to act friendly in order not to undergo much punishment.
"Oh and about the aftermath effect on you bleeding dogs, let's see if you would not become so lazy to even pick up a stone. I will ensure that happens before my eyelids, trust me. We, Vampires, have weakness but I must say, though your weakness is hidden, it is the most terrific Achilles heel to ever have, trust me."
"While you wait for the aftermath full moon on us, I am afraid you would not even be able to bat an eyelid to even look let alone, do anything."
Hazel heard the voice from afar. She recalled that it was that same voice that had told the people to light up the firewoods and coals. She was immediately scared of him as he walked closer.
"Beta Ethan, I am so sorry for delaying." The guard bowed and all Hazel could do was stare at this daring man, who looked like he could turn her into ashes just by looking at his almost orange eyes.
"Leave the vampiress to me, Oran."
