บท 37: Chapter37: Reasons

Simon let Chase go home early like he said so he could catch Morgan and let him know he just needed some time. Chase had wanted to protest but Simon had insisted and practically shoved him out of the infirmary, locking the door behind him.

Chase begrudgingly made his way to the manor only to stand at the door for a moment when he got there. He debated turning around to go back into the village and waste time until he was certain he wouldn't encounter Morgan but he knew Simon had a point.

He had to suck it up and let Morgan know he just needed a little time to figure everything out before they could go back to normal. He took a deep breath and stood at the door for another second before opening it and stepping inside.

Immediately the smell of whatever Morgan was making for dinner washed over him and he found himself momentarily forgetting his worries as he made for the kitchen to investigate.
