Chase mostly avoided Morgan for the next few weeks, not sure how to handle waking up in his bed with Morgan’s arm over his chest. Morgan seemed like he wanted to talk to Chase whenever they were in the same room but he never said anything.
Chase was thankful for his silence, he wasn't sure what he would say if Morgan did speak to him.
His schedule was still the same; he cleaned the manor, helped Korrin with the pups, and helped Simon at the infirmary. He was thankful that hadn't changed, and having some sense of normalcy despite everything was comforting.
He spent most of his free time with Simon who seemed to know something was up but never inquired. His silence was appreciated as was his distracting Chase from his thoughts. That is until he broke it one day while Chase was mixing some of the herbs Simon had prepared for him.
“What’s going on between you and Morgan?” Simon asked, glancing at Chase briefly before turning back to his own herb mix.
