"I was surprised you did not kill the Queen." Why would he kill the consort and not the Queen? Rosalind wanted to know but could not bring herself to ask him the question. She knew the Duke had a good relationship with the royals and that might be the reason why he did not kill her.
"His Majesty begged me to spare his wife. The Consort on the other hand… I had nothing to do with it."
