"The coronation is about to start," Crown Prince Baltazar said as he paced around inside his study. "What about him?"

"He will be sitting next to you," Duke Moller replied.

"I do not trust him."

"No one does. Isn't that why he needs to sit next to you? He would do nothing unpleasant in front of everyone who thinks of him as their hero. Unless, of course, he wants the North to dislike him."

"I want my wife to be with me."

"And she will… once we finish crowning you king, she will receive her crown and become the Queen of Lonyth," Duke Moller assured him. "I understand—"

"He is not doing anything," Prince Baltazar said. "And that is what's making me anxious."

"Duke Rothley is not exactly as powerful as you think, he is just like us humans. You are thinking too much. I am certain that he is already at his wits end by now. The fact that we targeted the King must have been a surprise to him."
