บท 123: Time to have some fun

Karina and Nori turned alert when they heard another knock on the door after Stanford already told them he wouldn't disturb them again for the night.

Worse, this person, whoever it was, knocked twice, instead of three times.

Nori, who was just celebrating how the wounds on her back were healing fast and now less painful, furrowed her brows and set her gaze on the door, after exchanging confused glances with Karina.

She moved closer to Karina, who was already on her feet but made no attempt to go anywhere near the door.

"Who is there?" Karina asked, hoping it would be Stanford and he had only forgotten to knock three times as was his custom when coming to deliver food or any message.

If he wasn't the one… No. It would be better if it was him because they didn't know what next to do if someone else comes knocking.

"It's Gideon. Open the door." Gideon announced.
