บท 69: No one is disappearing

The journey to First Care hospital was rather seamless and faster than Nori had expected. She sat inside the ambulance, holding Karina's hand all through the trip, while Veron and Skye followed in their car.

What Veron told her was still echoing in her mind, and giving her a headache. Still, she couldn't stop thinking about it.

As soon as they arrived at the hospital, the medical personnel on ground started working immediately, running the necessary tests on Karina and getting her settled in a very large and comfortable room.

Nori picked up her phone and dialed her father's number. As much as she dreaded speaking to him or even seeing him, she had no choice. She didn't know how he would react, She could only hope things don't fall apart.

Moving the phone to her ear, she let out a breath, telling herself that it was better to let them know now, instead of them reaching the school clinic only to be informed that they have been moved.

With every ring, her heart thudded.
