As the guards drew closer, their heavy boots thudding against the packed dirt floor of the shed, Kealen's muscles tensed like coiled springs, ready to spring into action at a moment's notice. His heart hammered in his chest, each beat a thunderous roar in the confined space, as he held his breath and willed himself to remain perfectly still.

The sound of their footsteps echoed in the cramped confines of the shed, growing louder with each passing second. Kealen's entire body trembled with the effort of remaining hidden, his senses heightened to an almost painful degree as he strained to hear every movement, every whispered word.

Just when he thought he might escape detection, disaster struck in the most unexpected of ways.
