บท 154: BELLE WAS AT FAULT

To confirm her suspicions, Dra. Lopez went back to her office and called the nurse who went on the same medical mission as Belle. 

Since Nurse Diane was working when the call came, she was only able to heed the doctor's summons after an hour. She knocked on the door and when the assistant opened it, she came inside with a faint smile. 

"You may leave us for now, Loriz," Dra. Lopez said, and the nurse, who also works as her assistant, left the office to give them space. "I didn't confirm this to you because I thought you were behind the accident. Tell me, Diane, was it you who pushed Belle into the river?" 

Nurse Diane didn't know whether to admit the truth or not. After all, she already accepted the money from the doctor, and failing the request means she had to return the money as well. 

"You don't have to be afraid if you fail. I just want you to tell me honestly."
