That morning, Tym left before Cecil woke up. The only thing she left was a piece of paper on which she wrote a little message and her favourite sword.
Those were the things she left behind for her sister to find when she woke in the morning.
"You have a choice to refuse," the prince said when he saw Tym constantly glancing behind her, at the small house Cecil was sleeping in.
"I have given my words. I'm a person of my word, I don't go back on it." Tym said with a glare levelled at the prince.
And had it not been for the veil she covered her face with, the prince would have seen the deadly expression on her face.
"Let's go then." The prince started for where his guards were standing, patiently waiting for them.
On seeing the Dark Masked Tym, the ones she fought the day before, instantly placed their hands on the sheath of their sword as they levelled her with a glare.
They seemed ready to take her on should she try anything funny.
"Your guards look energetic," Tym smirked as she gave each man a once-over. She pursed her lips, to prevent the smile from breaking out.
"Why won't they?"
The prince who was unaware of the animosity between the Dark Masked Tym and his guards continued towards his horse.
"Pathetic."
Tym murmured under her breath as she followed the prince.
Had she not promised to escort the prince to wherever the hell they were going to, she would have shown the guards that they were no match for her.
She walked through them and went towards the horse they got for her.
"What a handsome baby." She touched the horse, and it neighed as it nuzzled on her face.
The prince and those who were with him were frozen in shock as they watched the Dark Masked Tym.
Their mouth was agape as they tried to figure out how Tym got the most headstrong horse in the stable, to act this docile.
"Come on, baby boy. It's time to show me what you've got." Tym jumped and got herself seated on the horse, much to the amazement of the prince and those around, who was still watching her with their mouth so wide open, it seemed comical.
"What's wrong?" Tym frowned when she noticed how they were all staring at her.
"How did you manage—"
"My prince!"
The door of the great Palace was opened, and a female ran out from there.
She was dressed in a pink gown which pooled around her and made her run difficult.
Her hair was let loose, and by the state of the hair, it wasn't difficult to guess she just woke up from sleep.
Yet, despite all that, the princess that ran out was so beautiful, it put the sun to shame.
Her beauty rivalled that of all the females in the Kingdom. And just a smile from her, makes the men sigh.
However, there was a noticeable frown on the prince's face when he saw her.
"My prince!"
She ran towards the prince as her maids ran after her.
The guards who were around, pretended as if they weren't looking at her as they secretly watched her.
You can easily see the lust in their eyes as they watched her.
Tym sat on the house, with a furrowed expression on her face as she watched the beautiful princess.
"What are you doing out here?" The prince snapped at her.
"Are you certain you want—"
"We have had this conversation countlessly, Yum. I don't want to repeat the words I've spoken, already."
"You can't put your life at risk, my—"
"Go back to your room with the maids." The prince turned his horse and started leading it to the gates.
"My prince!"
The princess called him, but the prince didn't turn his back to look at her.
He was pissed to see her face. It was a slap to her face whenever he sees her. She was a living testimony that his stepmother still has enough rein over him.
The princess watched him leave, with a heaviness in her chest.
She so badly want to fall to the ground and weep, but she did nothing of that sort.
Instead, she stood where she was, and watched him leave.
"My princess—"
"Leave!"
She screamed at her maids who tried to come close to her, in hopes that the prince might turn.
But he didn't turn. He kept his face straight without sparring her a glance.
Tym and the others followed the prince as he lead his horse out of the compound.
"He left?"
The princess knelt on the ground as she watched the gates close behind him.
"Trouble in paradise?" Tym mocked the prince when she got closer to him.
The prince didn't reply to her words as he kept on staring at the horse.
"She is beautiful. Who is she?" She asked once more, to infuriate the prince.
"Do you want her? If you do, I will make arrangements to put her in the pay—"
"Me? Want her?" Tym laughed at the absurd words the prince spoke.
"What's funny about that?" the prince narrowed his eyes at her, "didn't you say you find her beautiful?"
"And you think I want her?" Tym scoffed.
"Why won't you want her? If you change your mind about that, dong forget to tell me about it.
I will make arrangements for you to take her with you."
The prince was eager to find ways to get rid of the female who was pestering him. And if giving her to the Dark Masked Tym is how he gets rid of her, then he won't mind that at all.
"And who said I want to take her with me?" Tym laughed, "if only you know what you are talking about, my prince."
"And why's that?" The prince furrowed his brows at her.
"Nothing. Just forget I said anything. You won't understand even if I tell you."
With those words said, Tym urged her horse to go faster.
