บท 2: Prologue 2: A New Cedric or Anakin?

-Milky Way, Planet Earth, Greece, Athens, Vorsiliu Mansion

-October 31, 1981

In one of the many rooms of a grand, ancient, and luxurious mansion, a 4-year-old boy named Cedric Diggory was crying.

Yesterday had been his 4th birthday, but his parents hadn't even greeted him. He had spent the entire day alone with his grandmother, and today he hoped that when his parents returned, they would remember they had forgotten his birthday and make it up to him. But it had already grown dark, and to make matters worse, when they did return, they didn't even bother to speak to him.

No, upon their return, they focused all their attention on a damn owl carrying a letter for them.

What made Cedric explode with anger was that after his parents read the letter, they both appeared very happy and excited, but without saying a word to him, they left instantly.

Yes, that's exactly what they did. They only handed the letter to his grandmother and then left as if nothing had happened.

They seemed in a great hurry, but Cedric didn't care.

No, none of that mattered to Ced; he just wanted to spend time with his parents, but neither of them bothered to say anything to him, not yesterday on his birthday nor today!

Angry, Cedric immediately locked himself in his room and vowed not to speak to his parents.

This time, he wouldn't listen to the excuses his grandmother would make for them.

No!

He wouldn't accept any explanation. Ced was so angry that all he wanted was to isolate himself from everything, cry, and vent his anger on his pillow.

And that's what he did; that's why he was now in his room, crying and hitting his pillow while he complained about his parents, completely ignoring his grandmother, who, as always, tried to calm him down.

When Cedric lost the battle with his pillow... when he had exhausted himself...

He lay down on the floor, tired, with tears constantly streaming from his eyes.

His grandmother apparently also gave up on trying to make excuses for his parents and finally left him alone.

It was then that Cedric's gray eyes shone strangely, and a large amount of information and images began to appear and visualize in his head.

"Anakin Skywalker...?" Cedric wondered, confused, as suddenly he began to see the entire life of a 9-year-old boy in a strange world... no, it wasn't just a world; it was an entire galaxy with all kinds of unique creatures and things.

Everything was simply out of the ordinary for Cedric.

Cedric saw everything that this Anakin had lived until his death...

Amidst the processing of all this pouring into his head, Cedric's originally tearful and angry expression began to slowly relax...

And in this comfortable state of consciousness, he began to fall into a deep sleep.

...

...

...

On the other hand, Anakin Skywalker was completely confused.

He remembered flying in a Naboo Starfighter inside the Lucrehulky-class Droid Control Ship.

Then he had started firing blaster cannons and torpedoes from within the Starfighter into the Lucrehulky Ship to make it explode and destroy the ship from the inside.

And when he was about to exit the Control Ship, the ship started to explode...

He was already about to leave when everything started to explode... but then the explosion's fire surrounded the Starfighter he was in, and then...

Everything turned white for Anakin, everything around him was completely white...

It was like an endless white room with nothing around for Anakin; it was so strange.

But it didn't take long for him to start vaguely seeing images of a child's life on a planet he had never heard of.

The images gradually became clearer, and Anakin could understand that he was seeing the life of a child named Cedric who lived on a planet called Earth with what seemed to be magical humans using something like wands to cast spells.

As the images passed, Anakin could only think of it all as a very strange and vivid dream where he saw and experienced all the emotionally significant events or repetitive experiences of Cedric Diggory's four years of life.

It was like experiencing everything as if he were really Cedric...

From his love for his parents, his interest in flying broomsticks after watching a Quidditch match with his father, his bitterness at being told he couldn't use a broomstick until he was older, to his fears. Anakin even felt the pain that young Cedric felt when he got hurt on occasion from getting into mischief.

And although Anakin lived all of this as a very detailed and vivid lucid dream, he came to believe that he had actually spent those four years of life because he experienced them as if he were Cedric, not Anakin...

As if he had lived one life as Anakin up to the age of nine and another as Cedric...

Anakin watched the child's life with interest.

Cedric Diggory was a pure-blood wizard who had been born on the planet Earth in a place known as Great Britain within a seemingly magical community hidden from the rest of non-magical people.

Young Cedric spent his early years with two parents, Amos and Barbara Diggory, who were loving but often absent.

This was because, despite being born in what was known as Great Britain, Cedric's parents had decided to send him to live with his paternal grandmother in Greece due to the complicated and dangerous current situation in the British magical community.

This meant that both Amos and Barbara spent very little time with their son, as his father worked almost all the time in Great Britain, and his mother usually had to take care of everything related to the Diggory family on her own.

Anakin clearly saw and even felt the sadness, frustration, anger, and disappointment of young Cedric as if they were his own. Though he couldn't help but think that all of this was better than being born and living as a slave with only your mother.

Now, although Anakin still didn't understand much about this strange world, he knew that Cedric Diggory's place of birth was going through a very complicated and dark time.

The atmosphere in which young Cedric found himself was always quite gloomy and tense... no matter how hard his family tried to hide it, it was something that was constantly felt in the environment.

Nine-year-old Anakin managed, unlike four-year-old Cedric, to comprehend, associate, and obtain more information about what was causing this constant distress in the Diggory family.

It wasn't difficult for him to piece together everything that was happening once he took every piece of information Cedric had.

First and foremost, Anakin learned that Amos Diggory, Cedric's father, worked almost all day at the British Ministry of Magic, returning home only to eat and sleep, while Barbara Diggory, the mother, took care of everything else related to the Diggory family, from meetings with other magical families to handling their finances.

Secondly, young Cedric had overheard his parents and grandmother talking and arguing very worriedly about everything that was happening with a dark wizard referred to only as "You-Know-Who" or "He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named," for some strange reason, along with his Death Eaters, who seemed to be the ones terrorizing all the wizards in Great Britain. It appeared that this planet was called Earth, and Cedric lived in a magical community hidden on the British Isles that was currently in a state of crisis due to something like a civil war initiated by a group of dark wizards who had even greater power than the British Ministry of Magic itself, and day by day, they gained more followers and more power.

Thirdly, Anakin, unlike Cedric, carefully analyzed everything he could hear from his family and other wizards, discovering that all these dark wizards shared the belief in the superiority of pure-blood wizards and their desire to control the magical world. For this reason, they were currently carrying out a series of violent attacks against other wizards and witches who opposed their ideology, as well as against Muggles, non-magical people, and Muggle-borns, wizards born to non-magical parents. This was what created a dark, fearful, and tense atmosphere in the magical community.

Fourth, unlike his wife, Barbara Diggory, Amos Diggory was a staunch supporter of remaining neutral in this conflict. Being pure-blood wizards, he preferred to act smartly and stay away from trouble and danger.

At night, she would try to reason with Amos about the many dangers of continuing to work at the Ministry of Magic. Barbara had mentioned other critical things, such as the fact that some within the Ministry were even part of the inner circle of the dark wizard, "You-Know-Who," and his Death Eaters. She even used to mention that the Ministry's Aurors could no longer stand against "He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named" and his followers.

Fifth, Amos Diggory, unlike his wife, used to defend the Ministry and firmly believed they should not abandon their allies. Unlike Barbara Diggory, he was an idealist who hoped that hard work, unity, and loyalty would get everyone through this conflict. This was something Barbara clearly couldn't agree with.

Amos often mentioned that the Ministry was the support for most of the population, which was already terrified and on their knees before the Death Eaters, almost resigned to living under a reign of dark wizards...

Yes, Anakin quickly noticed that Cedric's mother was the most sensible, while his father was the most impulsive, but even though he listened to Barbara, he also supported Amos.

Naturally, this had to do with the fact that he had never been one to back down from a conflict, something Qui-Gon Jinn had tried to correct in the short time they knew each other.

"If only I had followed his advice..."

Anakin couldn't help but think that maybe he should have listened to and followed the words of the Jedi Master, as if he had, he wouldn't have climbed into and flown the Naboo Starfighter inside the Lucrehulky-class Droid Control Ship, and he wouldn't have been there when the ship started to explode...
