Chapter 252: Taking Care of Myself
Olivia POV
The sound came in with the dawn, echoing in my headphones. I loved that Ellis wanted to join me in training, but also didn’t want him to put himself out.
I was newly obsessed with balance and order but that didn’t mean that he had to be. He should be allowed to march to the beat of his own drum. We were married and in love but not joined at the hip.
Showering as I did every morning both with Ellis and alone, I got into my tracksuit once again and jogged downstairs to wait for Luke, the house still asleep.
Doing push-ups until I heard Luke’s car in the drive, I got close to a hundred before the door closed.
“Oh, hello,” he said, as I came out into the cool morning air.
“Let’s go,” I said, just a note of desperation in my voice.
“Whoa, hold your horses, okay?”
“Why?” I asked, surprising myself by how angry it sounded.
“Calm down,” Luke said, in a voice so commanding I nearly sat down on the ground.
