บท 42: Substitute magic system activated
"What do you want Miss Camille?" I asked.
Miss Camille didn't answer my question but kept looking inside a closet for something.
After some time, she pulled out a crystal ball from inside and placed it on the table inside the room.
"Place your hands on it." She said.
The crystal ball in front of me was a magic affinity checking device. It seems that she still hadn't forgotten about the thing I said in the morning.
Not arguing with her, I place my palm on the sphere.
After a few seconds, the ball started to shine.
A small ball of light appeared in the center of the crystal ball. The ball started to grow bigger and bigger until it covered the sphere completely.
But at this moment, a new light appeared inside the sphere. This light was light blue in colour. Soon it expanded and covered half of the sphere by pushing bright light aside.
At this moment, the crystal sphere started to crack.
*Crack*
The sphere cracked into two halfs with one being white and other being light blue.
I removed my hand and looked towards Miss Camille.
She had a dumbfounded expression all over her face.
"N- No way... Dual affinity?! Light and space?! Both of them are stronger than my S rank light affinity?!" She mumbled to herself.
Instantly her body jolted up and she grabbed my shoulders by her inhuman speed.
"If you have such high magic talent then why did you not study magic?!" She screamed at my face.
"That's the exact reason!! My magic talent are too strong so my family had restricted me from showing them." I fabricated a story and said with a helpless smile.
Miss Camille released my shoulders and sighed while rubbing her forehead.
"I will teach you magic if you want and don't worry. I won't say to anyone about this thing." She said to me with a smile.
"Glad to be under your tutelage." I replied with a smile.
She immediately moved her face away to hide her red face.
' N- No way... Don't think like this. He is a student!!' Miss Camille cried inwardly.

Both of us soon exited the room and I continued some basic trainings while Miss Camille taught Leo.
The training lasted for two hours until Leo could no longer move his body anymore.
"T-That's it! I am done! I cannot lift my arms anymore!" Leo collapsed on the ground with his body soaked in sweat.
"Two hours? You're not very athletic…" Miss Camille looked down on him.
"What?! How am I not athletic? I had been swinging a steel sword without much breaks for the past two hours! I even work out very often because I am always fighting back the bullies in my old world!" Leo exclaimed, feeling a little offended by Miss Camille's words.
"Your stamina may have been impressive back in your world, but here, it's only below average." Miss Camille said to him.
And she continued, "Anyway, since the training ended earlier than I had expected, and your progress surpassed my expectations, I guess I can teach you a little—"
"Magic?!" Leo suddenly jumped to his feet and interrupted.
"…" Miss Camille looked at him with narrowed eyes.
"Are you really tired?"
"Of course! But I will not miss the chance to learn magic even if all of the bones in my body are broken!" He said.
"Whatever. But before we start, I need to see if you have any magic talent and if there are any specific elements that you are blessed with. This way I will know how to train you properly."
She retrieved a clear crystal ball that was slightly bigger than a baseball with spatial magic and handed it over to him this ball was same as the one I used before.
"Hold it on top of your palm." She instructed him.
Leo nodded and held the crystal ball with his right hand.
The next moment, Leo could see something appearing inside the crystal ball.
It appeared as a small black dot at the center of the crystal ball at first, but the dot began growing in size until the entire crystal ball was pitch black.
Miss Camille's eyes widened with surprise after seeing the results.
"What does this mean? It doesn't look good…" Leo asked her in a nervous voice.
"You have a magic affinity for Dark Magic, and it's fairly powerful," she responded a moment later.
"Dark Magic? That sounds very ominous…"
"A lot of people will agree with you since Dark Magic is associated with vampires."
Leo Swallowed nervously, "D-Does that mean I am actually a vampire?!"
"No, humans can also use Dark Magic, but it's a rare occurrence. Because of this, these people are also known as 'Cursed One'."
"Oh my god! If people find out that I can use Dark Magic, I will definitely be bullied for the rest of my life here!" Leo cried out loud.
