บท 170: 6.10 Veil of Deceit

As Cass stepped into the elevator, the doors closed behind him. Silas appeared.

"Why skip breakfast in your suite?" Silas quipped with a grin.

Cass met Silas's gaze with a wry smile. "I want to hear what new nonsense Tan has cooked up for me today."

Silas chuckled as Cass exited the elevator and made his way to the dining room. Taking a seat beside Shaifeng, who was seated to Zidong's right, Cass glanced around. Shengmei sat on Zidong's left, with Tan beside her.

"Hello," Cass greeted before helping himself to food.

The others returned his greeting with warm smiles. Zidong couldn't help but feel relieved to see Cass joining them for breakfast. Despite the tension from the previous day, it seemed Cass was in a better mood today.

Shengmei inquired, "Did you sleep well, Cass?"

Cass responded with a genuine smile, "I did, thank you."
