บท 45: Chapter 45 - Spirit Hall

---The next day---
Upon settling everything in the empire, Lev was finally ready to go to Spirit Hall alone. Persuading Sia and the others was quite work as he knocked them down until dawn. Ning Fengzhi and the other upper echelons have also known about it and so they bade their good luck.
With all things done, Lev was now on his way toward the Spirit City. He could actually go there by using instant transmission and lock on Qian Renxue's power signature, but he decided not to as he wanted to take things slowly thinking that he still hadn't seen the continent with his own eyes.
Flying without stop, Lev had traveled quite a distance as he arrived in Spirit City at night seeing him inside a luxurious hotel sipping some tea while looking at the beautiful night lights. The Spirit Hall Palace was already in his field of vision, but knowing how late it was, he decided to take a rest and head there tomorrow.

---Early the next morning---
After a night of rest, Lev could now be found on his way toward the Spirit Hall Palace. He wasn't even worried about people seeing him as he already used some invisibility skill that he had learned some time ago. He was confident that his invisibility could not be found unless someone had a keen sense or people with just abnormal power.
With that, Lev with his invisibility, casually walks into the Spirit Hall without any ounce of nervousness he observes and looks at the busy people working inside. As he was new to the place, he kept on walking around before finally finding his way toward the place he wanted to be, the Supreme Pontiff's Hall.

Supreme Pontiff's Palace Hall,
Meanwhile, inside the spacious and quiet hall, Bibi Dong could be found frowning while looking toward the palace door. She had already perceived an unwanted presence inside the palace however she just observed it as it did not show any ill intention. Also, she was very curious about who had the courage to sneak into the Spirit Hall knowing the consequences of offending the place.
"Come in." Bibi Dong said as she held on to her staff tightly. Though she hadn't perceived any ill intention of the unwanted person, she was still on guard fully knowing how he/she could enter the place and escape the eyes of the people inside.
Upon hearing this, Lev, who was outside, was surprised before he smiled while he opened the door of the hall and canceled his invisibility as he walked inside. Seeing the place, the hall was big enough that he needed to walk for a while before arriving closer to Bibi Dong who was sitting on her throne while looking at him seriously.
Getting closer enough, Lev then took his hood off as he looked at Bibi Dong, the Supreme Pontiff of the Spirit Hall. He was already expecting her to be beautiful since he had seen her illustration back on Earth but seeing her in person made him forget all those things as Bibi Dong in front of him was really beautiful akin to a Goddess even though he still hadn't seen one.
On the other hand, Bibi Dong was also observing the person in front of her and then realized that the person she was looking at and the person who was brave enough to sneak in was actually Lev, the Emperor of True God's Empire.
"You are either stupid or confident that you can leave here unharmed. State your purpose." Bibi Dong said while looking at Lev coldly. No matter how handsome and domineering Lev really was, she couldn't remain calm as all her guards were up because no matter what, he was still an enemy.
"I want to stop this war as peacefully as possible." Lev then said before a group of five people appeared beside Bibi Dong. Looking at their cultivation, they were all experts seeing them have Titled Douluo to show off.
Bibi Dong frowns as she signs the people beside her to stop as she is also curious about where this conversation will go. Knowing Lev, she thought that he might really come here with that purpose in mind as she had no way of knowing why he would visit this place, his enemy's base, in the first place.
"I know that you wanted to unite the continent, but unfortunately, that was hopeless. I visited this place as I also had this idea so how about we formally end this war and avoid more unnecessary deaths." Lev said as he stated his purpose. Knowing Bibi Dong, talking like this would not bear the result and so he wasn't hoping that this would end up that easily.
"And how are you going to do that?" Bibi Dong asked coldly. Just like Lev has said, this was the Spirit Hall's long mission. Though she wasn't seriously taking his words, it still piqued her curiosity.
"Of course, by merging Spirit Hall with my Empire and creating a single power in the continent with me as the Emperor." Lev answered the obvious.
"In other words, it was all for the benefit of your Empire." Bibi Dong said coldly while starting to emit some of her spirit pressure.
Seeing Bibi Dong's reaction, Lev just sighed as he already knew that this would happen. He then just looked at her before flicking his hand and using Sonic Minimum and instantly disappeared from the place.
….Boom…
A loud sound echoed inside the hall from which the people beside Bibi Dong flew and crashed to the palace wall at the same time whereas Lev could be found in front of Bibi Dong while holding her chin up.
"There really is no other way. If you don't like it, well, we can also stop this war in another way." Lev said while caressing Bibi Dong's chin and was feeling good about how smooth it was. It was the first time he had seen such a beautiful woman and so he couldn't help but move on instinct.
Meanwhile, Bibi Dong did not answer and just looked at Lev with cold eyes while thinking about what just happened as it was too fast and left her no time to react. She then thought that the rumors reports and news really were true regarding his power.
Seeing no reaction coming from Bibi Dong, Lev then moved his face closer to her ear and whispered, "We can both get married and end this war peacefully."
Right after that, Bibi Dong immediately swings her staff toward Lev. Her little carelessness was enough, and she could no longer tolerate Lev's playful behavior. As the Supreme Pontiff, it was her first time being played at and it made her boil in anger.
"I'll give you time to think about it as I'll be staying in this city for a while. See you tomorrow." Leaving such words, Lev then instantly vanished in the hall leaving behind Bibi Dong on the brink of bursting out.
Suddenly, the throne Bibi Dong was sitting on crumbled with her face showing redness and anger at the same time. She then said in great anger, "That brat, I will tear him up to pieces when he comes back here."
With that, Bibi Dong then looked at the five people in front of her with a frown thinking how useless they were. Calming herself down, she then just ordered the five of them to look at the city and monitor each and every move of Lev.

In the hotel,
In a flash, Lev used instant transmission and appeared back at the hotel. He kind of in a good mood for some reason seeing him smiling faintly. Though he just said it with a whim and treated it as a joke, such a method was also plausible to end this war, but the decision would still be in Bibi Dong's hands.
As he had nothing to do for the day, Lev then decided to go and roam the city for a while since it was also his first time coming to this place, and thought that there must be things that would give him surprises that other cities don't have.

Library,
Leaving the hotel, Lev then could be seen visiting from place to place. Either heading to a restaurant or visiting some store and buying things, etc. He did nothing but enjoy the day but before the sun was about to set, he decided to choose the last store or building he wanted to visit which made him smile after seeing a familiar person.
Lev, without any second thought, then enters a building which is a library of some sort. He walks casually towards the familiar person but somehow the person does not even look at him as she continues reading the book while standing.
"Is that book really that interesting?" Picking up a book and standing near the person, Lev then suddenly said while flipping the book he was holding.
The person was disturbed by the sudden interruption. She looked at the source of the voice with hostility but when she saw Lev, she consciously moved backward while looking at him warily.
"Qian Renxue, we've met again." Lev greeted before putting back the book on the shelf. Though he kind of expected this reaction, he felt like he really had done something very bad to her seeing her face filled with hatred.
"W-What are you doing in here?" Qian Renxue looked at Lev fiercely as she curiously asked. She couldn't help but feel very nervous upon recalling what he had accomplished all this time as she was not privy to this matter.
"You can put your guard down as I have come in peace." Lev answered normally before feeling awkward as there were now several eyes looking at them. Seeing their expression, he felt they didn't know a thing about him as they were focused on Qian Ren Xue.
"You're brave enough to come here alone, are you not even worried?" Qian Renxue then said while carefully observing Lev. She doesn't know just how fact the news about him but seeing him around this place without any ounce of nervousness would only mean one thing and that is he was confident to escape this place.
"You're really a mother and daughter." Lev said with surprise after Qian Renxue said the same words as Bibi Dong.
"W-What are you talking about?" Qian Renxue frowned after hearing Lev.
"Well, it's nothing. It's getting late. I plan on staying in this place for some time. Let's see each other again then." Lev then bid his farewell before leaving the building. Though he kind of wanted to talk more with her, however, seeing the crowd start gathering, he could only stop and pick another time.
As Lev left the building, Qian Renxue then sighed in relief. She actually didn't know what to do earlier and was just doing an act of bravery. Calming herself down, she then frowned again wondering what purpose did Lev have in visiting the Spirit City. She ponders about it before deciding not to report it and investigate it herself since he said so himself that he had come in peace.
With that, Qian Renxue started hearing things and that was when she looked at the people in the surroundings. Hearing all that they said, she couldn't help but blush with embarrassment before she left the place in a hurry.

---The next morning---
Supreme Pontiff's Palace Hall,
Bibi Dong was now fully prepared if ever Lev would sneak in once again. She had now confirmed that Lev, as the news reported, is a very powerful person however it would not stop her from paying him back for what he did yesterday.
Bibi Dong waited for a while before she became bored. Losing her cool and patience was something she had forgotten in the past, yet they were now coming back to her because of a person.
"Does that brat lie to me?" Bibi Dong murmured in anger. Not feeling Lev's presence, she then sighed after realizing that she was actually being fooled and played by him again. She sighed once more thinking how she had lost her cool towards a kid, but it was then, did she swung her scepter.
Lev, who had entered via instant transmission, evaded Bibi Dong's attack with ease as he created some distance between them. He then just looked at the place feeling surprised upon not seeing the five people yesterday in the hall.
"This is quite an unexpected greeting. So, how about it? Did you think about what I told you yesterday?" Lev amusingly said while looking at the frowning Bibi Dong who was holding her scepter in anger. He had to admit that if he didn't evade it, it might give him a little injury.
On the other hand, Bibi Dong did not answer and just looked at Lev while frowning. The only thing that runs through her mind right now is her attack earlier. Her attack today was at its full speed and power and yet Lev easily evaded it. What shocked her the most was how and when he arrived as she really didn't feel her presence until now.
"Looks like you're still undecided. You must be bored sitting here all day so I might as well stay here and look at your work." Lev said while looking in the hall finding some area to rest. He also wanted to take this chance to see the inner workings of the Spirit Hall that built to what they were today.
Just like that, Lev then stayed in the hall all day with his invincibility skill. Surprisingly, Bibi Dong didn't retaliate and only showed irritation every time Lev would talk to her. She was already close to her limit, but she endured it all while planning things in her mind.

---Two weeks later---
Library,
Time passed by as Lev continued visiting the palace for two weeks straight. In that span of time, he didn't experience any slightest retaliation which greatly surprised him, but he knew that it was only how it showed to the outside as he could feel the atmosphere of the palace had become heavier as days passed by.
This time, Lev had decided to visit the library for a change of air after leaving the Supreme Pontiff Palace. He was casually walking in the library and found Qian Renxue reading a book in some corner.
"Do you really love reading books that you would come here almost every day?" Lev said while moving his hand to pick up a book. For the past two weeks, he didn't visit the library as he gives more importance to some other things however, he knew Qian Renxue would visit this place every day as he had this city already under his radar.
On the other hand, Qian Renxue put her book down and looked at Lev. Just like Lev said, she was visiting the library for two weeks straight in hopes of finding him and yet no presence of him could be found until now.
"I thought this place was a library. I haven't seen a library this noisy." Lev said as he looked at the crowd in the surroundings with a smile. The day after his first meeting with Qian Renxue, a piece of news scattered about her talking with a handsome youth around the city. Knowing what it was, he was kind of expected that the second time they met would also be the same.
Qian Renxue frowns before she looks at the surroundings. She has also heard about it and even teased sometimes without them knowing that the person they were interested in was a person capable of destroying an Empire.
"It's already time for lunch. I bet you have a place in mind, how about taking me there? Also, you can ask anything during that time. I promise I won't do anything." Lev then said that he wanted to leave this place as he felt suffocated by the numerous gazes and also, he wanted to stay away from trouble from those people inside who were showing malicious intent.
Hearing Lev, Qian Renxue didn't mind if there would be another rumor around as she felt like it was an opportunity for her to ask Lev whatever she wanted. Following Lev's suggestion, the two of them left the library and headed towards a certain restaurant in the city.

Restaurant,
Getting away from the gazes, Lev and Qian Renxue finally have their peace seeing them already begun eating without making a noise. The atmosphere was very awkward as no one was talking as they enjoyed the food presented on the table.
Breaking the silence, Lev suddenly asked, "So, tell me, what do you want to know?"
Hearing Lev, Qian Renxue wanted to ask again what his purpose in visiting this place but she thought that he might not tell her again and so she thought about another thing. She then asked, "Why were you so strong?"
"Hmmm. Because I have taken so many lives." Lev answered normally.
"W-What?" Qian Renxue was surprised that her body stiffened for a second as she never expected such an answer from Lev. Though she also wasn't innocent, however, it's not to the point that it would make her stronger unless.
"A-Are you a - - - -" Before Qian Renxue could finish, Lev interrupted.
"It's not what you think it is. Do you really think I'm such a person?" Lev immediately denied what was running through Qian Renxue's mind since he knew for a fact that there were people like that.
Hearing Lev, Qian Renxue then thought for a while before realizing that Lev was not giving an evil aura like an evil spirit master normally has. Though she thought that way, a hint of fear could still be seen in her eyes.
Following that, just like any ordinary people, Lev and Qian Renxue eat normally. They had also engaged in small conversation as the awkwardness between them started fading bit by bit before the two finally parted ways.

---Night---
Supreme Pontiff Palace Hall,
Inside the palace hall, a man could be found reporting to a certain person sitting on the throne. It was only a brief moment before the man disappeared leaving the person alone after being dismissed.
'So, he left early so he could meet Renxue. Just when did the two have such a connection?' Bibi Dong frowns while thinking about it. She has also heard the rumors which she didn't thought that it was Lev all along. She then wondered if Lev had something in mind towards Qian Renxue, because no matter how she denies it, she was still her daughter even though they don't talk and meet too much.
'What were you planning now, Lev.' Bibi Dong thought for a while before sighing.

---Two weeks later---
Supreme Pontiff Palace Hall,
Another two weeks had passed, and Lev was now already in the hall looking at Bibi Dong. He had already stayed in this place for a month, and he concluded that Bibi Dong was really an extraordinary person. He could say that Bibi Dong was really a woman of focus and a natural leader.
"So, this is how it goes in the end." Lev smiled before he sighed. He already felt that this day would be different as he noticed several unknown people surrounding the hall. Seeing this situation, he felt like his stay would soon come to an end since there was no way to take this back.
On the other hand, Bibi Dong looked at Lev calmly before she suddenly shouted, "Attack!!!"
Hearing the command, several spirit abilities bombarded the hall upon all the Titled Douluo of the Spirit Hall was present in this subjugation, however, they were still underestimating Lev seeing him directly blocking them all by summoning Madoka. It was, however, something they had anticipated, from which they immediately surrounded him as this was something they had already prepared for a month.

"I hope you all won't regret this decision." Lev said coldly inside Madoka's barrier while looking at them, especially at Bibi Dong. He hated killing more people but it's just that nothing really comes smoothly on his way that everyone keeps on sending their lives to him.
