บท 42: Chapter 42 - Tradition or Destruction

In two days, Lev and the others were now near the main city of Star Lou Empire. As they weren't in a hurry, they decided to stop in an Inn in the nearby town and decided to rest for the day. They didn't do any curricular activities and just stayed inside where they took rest the whole day and decided to continue tomorrow however, many eyes were all over the place as their locations had already been relayed back to Star Lou Empire's Palace.

---The next day---
Just as planned, Lev, together with three beautiful girls, continues their way toward the main city of the Star Lou Empire. They already knew that right after they left the Zhu Family Palace, there were already people monitoring them in the shadows however, despite knowing, they haven't made a single move against them and just let them be.
After traveling for three hours, Lev and the others were now at the city gate, and they could tell that the place wasn't that bad. They appreciate the beauty of the city first before heading towards a restaurant to eat and probably find a place to stay for the night. Though the palace was already in sight, everyone decided to have fun for the day and deal with tomorrow.

---Night---
Star Lou Empire Palace,
Emperor Dai together with the elders could be found together in the main hall while listening to the report. They had already heard about the news of Lev's arrival and so they were waiting and observing his every action.
"Your Majesty, Emperor Lev of True God's Empire, and his companions have chosen to rest at the hotel. Just like the report, Miss Zhu Zhuqing really was together with him." A man reported everything that they had observed until now.
Emperor Dai nodded and then dismissed the man before him and started having a deep and serious conversation with the elders inside taking every possible move that Lev had in mind.

---The next day---
Restaurant,
After a good night's sleep, Lev and the others could now be found casually eating breakfast and enjoying the delicacy different from what they could eat back in his empire however, their happy and peaceful moments had soiled after a person stopped at their table.
It was a middle-aged man in military-look clothes. He bowed politely as he said, "Greetings, Your Majesty Lev. I am tasked to deliver a message from Emperor Dai that he was very delighted to see your presence here in the city and he hopes to invite you to the palace to have a place for conversation."
Lev listened to all that he said before ignoring him as he replied, "Wait until we're done."
Hearing Lev, the middle-aged man's face twitched but he still waited outside as he was told before finally seeing Lev and the others finished their breakfast. Only then did they get to ride the carriage prepared by the Empire and leave the place.

Star Lou Empire Palace,
With the help of the carriage, they didn't travel that long before Lev and the others were now inside the palace from which Emperor Dai had been residing seeing him together with five other elders beside him.
"First of all, I would like to welcome Emperor Lev for his visit to my empire. This is the first time we see each other but I could say that Your Majesty is not ordinary." Emperor Dai greeted them while giving some flowery words whereas the five elders together with him, also greeted them with respect despite some having malicious thoughts.
"Well, it's also my honor too to meet Emperor Dai in person." Lev greeted back with a smile while Sia and the others did the same. No matter how confident they are, they still haven't forgotten to greet others with respect to show their courtesy.
"Let's not take this any further, Emperor Dai. I came here as I have some matters to solve before I head back to my empire, and with your obvious spying, I know that you might already guess what it is, but I might as well say it. With all due respect, I want to break off the engagement between Zhuqing and Mubai and I hope you would allow that." Lev said confidently as he didn't want to stay in this place any longer. They had already been away for how many already and so he wanted to get back as there were still other things to be done.
Hearing Lev, Emperor Dai does not react much and remains calm as he already has anticipated it but the hotheaded elder can no longer tolerate Lev's behavior. He was one of the elders who opposed the idea of talking to Lev and making things peaceful as he had planned to move against him and make him submit.
"Presumptions. I--"The hotheaded elder shouted but before he could finish a dagger had already penetrated his leg and made him fall to the ground while wailing in pain. His eyes were filled with shock as he had never seen that coming despite being a Titled Douluo.
Seeing things like this, Lev then recalled Infinity in its dagger form and wiped off the blood on it with a faint smile. He already knew that something like this was coming and so he wasn't any more surprised and so with that, things like peace would no longer be applicable.
On the other hand, things have gone too fast for Emperor Dai and the other elders as they cannot believe what just happened. Such a thing, however, makes them realize that Lev, the emperor of True God's Empire is not a person they described as naïve. Following that, they then immediately became more cautious towards him seeing that he was a person hard to deal with.
"I don't really like someone shouting in front of me so if there were others who want to stand up against me, you can voice it out now." Lev said with a cold voice while looking at their expressions.
Seeing this, Emperor Dai and the others frowned and started having a hard time on how to deal with him as they believed that Lev was not joking. Though they have been humiliated this much, they still haven't done any absurd movements as they still keep on observing.
"If it's about the matter between the engagement of Zhu Zhuqing and Dai Mubai then I accept, but I have a condition." Emperor Dai answered before he put on a serious look on his face. Seeing the cruelty and viciousness of Lev, he immediately calms down as no matter what they think, he is still an Emperor himself.
"A condition you said. If I wanted to, I could just take over this empire as a whole since I'm already here. I'm not asking this as a request but an order, I hope you're clear with that." Lev, however, replied leaving Emperor Dai feel conflicted. He then just looked at the expressions of the elders beside him to see their reactions.
Emperor Dai frowned at Lev's reply before a man appeared beside him all of a sudden. Listening to what he said, he then sighed before his spirit pressure suddenly burst out. He said, "Leave this brat to me. Take the others as hostages."
Hearing the Emperor, the five elders immediately take action despite one of them being injured. They had already anticipated this situation and they were prepared for it. If they could not talk with peace, then they could only use force to end things well. Now that the man reported that there was no one guarding them, they all felt that it was a given opportunity to end this well.
Lev also heard what the man had reported which made him smirked at their actions. Though he hated the fact of killing people, the situation really left him no choice. With that, he then looked at the five elders who were surrounding him before looking at Emperor Dai and said, "Did you know that Emperor Xue Yu had died making a decision the same way that you did just now."
"Hmmp. Don't lump me with that failure. Go." Emperor Dai then ordered which the elders to dash off toward the Sia, Zhu Zhuqing, and Dugu Yan.
"A fool Emperor indeed." Lev said before five shadows appeared all of a sudden confronting the elders whereas Zhu Zhuqing and Dugu Yan immediately positioned themselves beside Sia. The girls have also already been told by Lev that a fight will most probably happen and so they come prepared for it.
Meanwhile, the five elders were caught off guard by the sudden appearance of unknown people or more like creatures. Their sudden attack got them by surprise as they were parred before backing off and creating some distance to see the situation.
Emperor Dai also felt the same as them. He was wondering where they came from but from the looks of it, it must be one of Lev's tricks. He was sure that they weren't human seeing their appearances having small stature and their unique green skin color.
Lev, however, smiled while looking at them as if they were none other than his five goblins. Two of them looked like a warrior seeing them holding a sword and an axe respectively, one of them was a ranger/archer seeing him holding a bow in his hand, the fourth one looked like an assassin as he was holding a dagger in each hand, and lastly, the goblin wearing a mage robe with a staff on his hands.
"Go for it. They were nothing to be scared of. They were just spirit beasts of unknown origin." Emperor Dai wasn't fazed. He had looked at them thoroughly earlier and could say that they weren't that strong.
"I am offering you peace talk earlier yet you didn't appreciate it. What would you do now? It's only a matter of time before we subdue these ugly underlings of yours. I don't know just how brave or a fool you are for coming here without any guards." Emperor Dai coldly said with a cruel smile while looking at Lev. Though he already felt that nothing would go wrong, he was still on guard as Lev himself still not moving because no matter what, the news said that he still subdued an empire alone as the rumors said.
"Really? I have never thought of coming here for peace in the first place." Lev replied as he summons another three creatures for which Gamabunta, Gamaken, and Gamhiro appeared. Following that, he then immediately gave them orders as he strode forward leaving everything to them.
Seeing Lev, the Emperor immediately put his senses to the fullest. He could see his movements clearly seeing him throwing out a punch. He smiles at how simple it is as he puts up his hands wanting to block it when suddenly Lev halted his movement and before he could react, he was already thrown off and crashed into the palace wall.
"Blarrgh." Emperor Dai coughed up blood while reminiscing what just happened. He clearly saw him throwing a punch, yet a kick had arrived. He then looked at Lev with great horror seeing the fact of how much damage he received with that kick alone.
"Your Majesty!!" The five elders shouted as they left their position wanting to help but it was all for nothing seeing the goblins and toads blocking their way.
"You ugly little piece of shit." One of the elders shouted angrily upon seeing the goblin in front of him. He raised his hand trying to end things as fast as possible, but he had never thought of seeing the goblin throwing something in front of his face. He was about to fend them boom when it suddenly exploded.
...Booommm....
An explosion sounded which caught the elder off guard seeing him flying while having injuries in the process. Though it wasn't to the point that he may die as he was still a Titled Douluo, the injuries were still serious as he never put any protective means as he never would have thought that it had such power.
Seeing the situation of the elder, the goblins laughed at him cruelly. The thing one of them had just thrown was a grenade given to them by Lev's early hand. Though it was ordinary and would not do much damage, they liked the idea of using it wanting to make their opponent helpless and also for their entertainment.
Emperor Dai looked at it in great shock, but he wasn't that worried as he knew the strength of the elders. He then shifted his gaze to Lev before he used the ability to see him transforming into something. He strides forward to attack Lev, but his hopes crash once more seeing Lev's hand grasping his head. He held his hand wanting to break free from it, but it was all for naught seeing the strength Lev had put into his grip.
…. Boomm…. Crack...
Emperor Dai crashed once again into the wall making visible cracks on it while coughing up blood once more as he tried to break free from Lev. This was completely out of his expectations, and it was only then did he finally realized that the news regarding Lev really might be a fact.
"You're nothing but all talk." Lev said before burying him once more in the wall creating more cracks in them.
"You're majesty!!!" One of the elders shouted seeing Emperor at the hands of Lev, however, a little distraction causes him his demise seeing the goblin with a dagger smiling at him with his weapon already buried in his chest.
"Arrrgghhh. Y-You!!!" The elder shouted before releasing a powerful attack toward the goblin. The goblin assassin seeing his dangerous situation immediately left behind his weapon to retreat but he was still slow as the elder's attack had hit him making him fly off.
The elder looked at his chest but he could only stare at it as something was happening inside his body. His heart beats faster than normal as the veins all over his body are swelling. He could not help but think that it was poison and a lethal one at that, he looked at the goblin once more just to see him creepily smiling with its soon-to-be-dead body seeing it also had several injuries.
As the fight continued, the palace door suddenly opened, and a group of people entered the hall with their eyes wide open. Normally, the palace hall was a place that no one could enter casually but as the situation escalated to the point that the people inside had already noticed, it had already become of great concern.
Meanwhile, the people who arrived were surprisingly Tang San and the others together with Dai Mubai. They hurriedly entered the palace hall as the commotion sounded all over the place, but they were still a little bit late seeing how messy the hall had become. Most especially the Emperor himself who had every bone on his body broken.
Sensing the familiar presence, Lev smiled before letting go of Emperor Dai and let him fall to the ground with nothing to support him as he made sure to break off all his bones and cripple him in the process.
"I didn't expect to see you all here." Lev said while looking at them. It has been already a month since he has news about them as after he had attacked the former Heaven Dou Empire, their group disappeared afterward.
Hearing Lev, Tang San, and the others gulp hard. They were actually ready to help thinking that something was attacking the palace, but they didn't expect to see Lev instead. They all still remember what happened back then and seeing that it was him who was the perpetrator of all of this makes things difficult.
"F-Father." Dai Mubai murmured. He does not understand what is happening, however, his anger immediately bursts out from seeing his father lying on the ground waiting for his death to come. With his eyes filled with bloodlust, he then looks at Lev thinking that it was all his doing as he strides forward wanting to kill him.
Lev, however, just looked at Dai Mubai without doing anything which made the latter put everything on his attack seeing him transforming just like his father, however, it was not to his wildest dream that a person he knew clearly blocked his way.
"Z-Zhuqing." Dai Mubai called out a name as he looked at the girl blocking him. He was in a trance before waking up and seeing Zhu Zhuqing attacking him which makes him in a difficult situation as he did not want to hit her.
Lev, upon seeing this, then just lets Zhu Zhuqing do what she wants as he moves towards the goblin assassin who is lying on the floor and gives him something. Right after that, he ignored Tang San and the rest of his group wanted to observe the fight with his other summons against the remaining elders.
It did not last long before everything inside the palace had been settled seeing the elders' dead bodies lying on the floor with Dai Mubai who was beaten to the point that his face could no longer be recognized.
"Though I want to have a conversation with you all right now. But, if you don't want to be mixed in this mess, then you better leave immediately." Lev seriously said as he looked at Tang San and his group. Hearing the commotions outside, he already thought that the army was already on their way into the palace.
Yu Xiaogang and the others knew what he was talking about. No matter how shocked they were by what just happened, their lives still come first as they then immediately regain their composure.
"Take Mubai with you and tell him to leave us alone and also, if ever he wants revenge, tell him that I'm always ready that is if he is prepared for the consequences." Lev said before looking at the entrance of the palace hall and saw the spirit master army of Star Lou Empire.
Seeing the army, Tang San and the others then move hurriedly as they pass through Lev and carry Dai Mubai's body as they leave the palace in another way. They, however, stopped for a while as they looked at Lev first before finally leaving.
"Now, let's end this." Lev said whereas Gamabunta, Gamaken, Gamahiro, and the other five goblins all looked at the incoming army with excitement seeing that they could still fight again and hopes of leveling up.
With that, a battle that would once again shake the continent happened and the cause of it all was none other than Lev, Emperor of True God's Empire. After all of this, Star Lou Empire soon met their end just like what happened to Heaven Dou Empire.

---One month later---
In just a month, Star Lou Empire had gone upside down. With the help of Zhu Zhuqing's father, the former Star Lou Empire ended its era after it was swallowed by Lev. It took only a month just like what happened back in the former Heaven Dou Empire to settle everything and make a foothold.
With such big and shocking news, every power, clan, city, town, and even small village had heard of it bringing great shock to the whole continent. They had never thought that in just another month, the Star Lou Empire was also conquered by Lev.

Spirit City,
Inside the Supreme Pontiff's Hall, Bibi Dong's face can't be described anymore while thinking about the problem at hand. While they were still preparing for how to deal with Lev, she had never thought that at that span of time, he had conquered another Empire by himself once again.
'This can't be delayed any longer, Lev is becoming stronger the longer we wait. We need to initiate the plan and eliminate him immediately. Gaining both Empires in his hands, his next target would be my Spirit Hall and I won't let that happen.' Bibi Dong thought while frowning.

God's Realm,
As the continent was filled with such shocking news, five beings could be seen sitting in a hall. No matter who would look at them, anyone would think that their appearance was very sacred at one glance but if one knew about their identity, then they would immediately worship them. These five beings gathering in the hall were none other than the five God Kings who were ruling the God Realm in their entire lives.
"The things happening in the continent are a bit concerning, yes?" One of the God Kings said and asked while thinking about it carefully. Though the Gods don't really have business left in the continent, as the five God Kings and overseers of the world, they have another opinion of this matter.
"Yeah. Drastic changes were happening in the continent, and it was all because of that strange youth named Lev." Another God King replied as they already knew about it from the remnants and followers that they had on the continent.
"How about sending someone from our followers? His power is quite dangerous, and I know everyone knows about it. Sending them is a must to verify if that person is somewhat related to Spirit Beasts." Another God King suddenly suggested. As they could not freely enter the continent, they needed to deal with it by using their followers and candidates.
"If you're all worried that another Dragon God would ascend. You might as well kill him already. What you're all doing is just wasting your time." One of the God Kings said in irritation. Though it was really impossible for another Dragon God to appear, Lev's power wasn't that off and was somehow more dangerous and unknown.
Hearing him, the other God Kings showed displeasure and just ignored him instead as they talked for a while about what best course of action they would take to communicate with Lev since they also had a secret motive for doing so.

Ice and Fire Ying Yang Well,
Lev after one month found himself the time to relax again seeing him closing his eyes in the hot spring that could be found in the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well. Though the effects of dipping inside were not that helpful to him, he still felt good and bliss while he was on it.
Following the completion of the second phase of his plan, Lev had decided to set aside his mission and vigilance for now and just wanted to rest when suddenly he heard something that interrupted his enjoyment. He frowns as he looks at it just to see something that makes him smile.
