บท 1: The Bear Is Born

It has been nine years since I was reborn into the world of Game of Thrones as Clatton Mormont, the younger half-brother of Jorah Mormont and the son of Jeor Mormont. In addition, the gods bestowed their blessings upon me when I was born. I was given the super soldier serum, one hundred percent muscle utilization, and body language analysis. I was also given all of my memories from my previous life, when I was Jacob Thyon, the youngest to become CEO of the Thyon Group, which was involved in business across all industries.

Ever since the day I was born, everyone on Bear Island, including my father, Jeor, and the rest of my family, has regarded me as a genius. When I was four years old, I began to train both my body and in the skill of swordsmanship. While I wasn't practicing, I was studying all the history of Westeros and all of the great and lesser houses with the maester. By the time I was nine years old, I stood at a height of five feet four inches and had the strength of a fully grown teenager. I was able to overcome all of the knights in swordsmanship and was able to battle my elder brother Jorah, who was 20 years old, to a draw. I've also spent a lot of time over the years honing my horseback riding and archery skills.

The year was 281 AC, which was one year before the Robert Rebellion. Therefore, when my father told Jorah and me that we would be joining him on the journey to participate in a tournament at Harrenhal, I was not astonished because the year was 281 AC. It took a whole week of traveling before we were finally able to catch up with Lord Rickard Stark and the other lords from the north. Lord Rickard made the announcement, "Jeor, you have at last caught up." When he spotted my father approaching the caravan, he became concerned.

"I apologize for being late, my lord, but I encountered some bandits on the way," father said, "and I would also want to properly introduce my youngest son, Clatton, from my late wife, to you, my lord." With a sweep of his hand, he beckoned me to the front.

As I bowed to the Warden of the North, I introduced myself by saying, "Nice to meet you, my lord."

"I heard you remarried someone from the free cities, Jeor. To think she would also pass away too; you have my condolences." Lord Rickard said, "Stand up, lad, so I may have a good look at you. Your dark complexion makes you look more like a dorne than someone from the north. " As soon as he commanded me to stand straight, I stood, and I was finally able to stare at the Great Rickard Stark, one of the causes of the Robert Rebellion. He has a long stern face with long black hair, with part of it becoming gray. He also has a short beard and piercing gray eyes. He stood there wearing steel armor with golden spurs and the valyrian steel greatsword Ice hanging by his side. There was something about him that radiated the strength and honor of a warrior.

One of the other northern lords approached and said to Lord Stark, "My lord, since Lord Mormont was the last to join, we may depart now."

"Then we shall be on our way," Lord Stark said. As soon as he declared that we would be departing, all of the lords and knights mounted their horses or carriages, and we all set off on our journey. It took around three and a half weeks to reach Harrenhal. During those weeks, I became acquainted with several other young lords of the north, including Brandon, Eddard, Lyanna, and Benjen Stark. I was able to gain a better understanding of them, especially Brandon and Lyanna. Whenever we were forced to camp for the night, Brandon would challenge the other young lords in swordplay, including my elder brother Jorah, who lost to Brandon more often than he won. Lyanna was a wild beauty, but she was a lot like her older brother Brandon in that she enjoyed causing trouble. She would like to sneak away from the caravan and go hunting for wild game.

One of the nights that we camped out, she invited Benjen and me along with her to go hunting in the nearby woods after dinner. The woods were not far from where we were camping. At first, everything was going swimmingly, and we were even successful in catching some rabbits, but, as we were coming back, I got the distinct impression that something was wrong. "Stop, something doesn't seem right," I said as I reloaded an arrow into my bow, ready for any situation.

"There's nothing wrong, but we should get back before..." Lyanna began before I fired an arrow that flew past her and into the chest of a bandit who was closing in on her.

"BANDITS!" I cried, dropping my bow and drawing the sword my father had given me on my seventh birthday. As three bandits emerge from behind the tree in front of us, Benjen unsheathes the small blade he has on his side. "Benjen, take the left one, and I'll take the two on the right. Lyanna, we're almost at camp; go fetch some aid, and Benjen and I will attempt to keep them at bay. " I give an order before racing ahead to the two on the right, not looking back.

I went for a lower horizontal swing, and one of the robbers' shins was sliced in the process. I was ready to launch another assault on him when I noticed that the second bandit intended to bypass me and go for Lyanna instead. Therefore, I executed a quick spin to strike him, which he blocked. I then sensed that another bandit was charging at me from behind, so I kicked the bandit that was in front of me in the chest and stabbed the bandit that was behind me in the stomach. Both of them fell to the ground.

For a split second, I stared at the blood on my blade and the lifeless body in front of me before comprehending that I had indeed slain the bandit. So I was vulnerable as the second robber sprang up and tackled me to the ground. He punched me in the face twice, and then I heard a swoosh. His body collapsed on top of me, his head rolled off to the side, and his hot, fresh blood splattered my face. When I glance up, I notice my dad looming over me.

" Son, are you okay?" He said as he pushed the dead bandits off of me and helped me to my feet, all the while inspecting my body for injuries. "Clatton!!" Jeor screamed when there was no response. When I looked around, I noticed Lord Stark, Brandon, Eddard, and a number of other knights and lords.

"I'm OK, father; how are Lyanna and Benjen?" I inquired.

"They are now alright, due to you." Rickard complimented me as he moved towards me and patted my shoulder. "I heard from Lyanna that you ordered her to flee and bring back aid, and Benjen informed me that you battled two bandits on your own," he said. "You safeguarded my children, and for that, the Stark household is indebted to you," he pledged. After that, the maester, Luwin, looked at Benjen and me. The maester cleansed and dressed Benjen's wounds on his face and arms. I had a few bruises on my face. After that incident, I was able to grow closer to young Starks, and we resumed our voyage. Lyanna ceased to slip out of the camp as well. Thus, we were able to reach Harrenhal without incident.
