บท 169: Bye bye birdie
The remainder of the day had gone by smoothly enough and so too did the night. When camp was set up, Sabrina resumed relaying news about the grand duchy while Avery spent most of the time nursing their still ruined shoulder. It wasn't particularly eventful and no new major news had occurred in the last day. But what they did learn was that, thankfully, due to a combination of skill, luck, and messages received from Avery, Aurora Seraptish had managed to find safety for the time being.

AngelAsphodel I actually wrote a chapter around 5000 words long at first... So, I split it in half. The next chapter will probably relase in the evening (PST) tomorrow or early the next day. I'm hopefull for releasing another chapter this week as well, but I can't promise it unfortunately.
Now, in a different train of thought, I hope this chapter was interesting. Avery is an interesting person who is very clingy and loving and they remind me of a part of myself as well as quite a few of my friends. They are, in many ways, a character that embodies the self deprication and desire for companionship that many people have. I hope that they fit in alright though, because I worry at times that they might seem to stick out from the rest of the cast.
I do look forward to seeing them grow, but that will have to wait for a bit. Similarly, I hope seeing new sides of Sabrina, like being in a more anxious state as well as a caring state was nice. I'm secretly (not secretly) a Sabrina fan, and I can say that I enjoyed writing this scene for her.
Anyways, I've rambled and now I need to sleep. As always though, I hope you're having a wonderful day <3
