He was shocked. She must have noticed that he’d been feeling down, tired, and sick. Ryuu hadn’t been able to eat or sleep a whole lot the past week, his mind running a million things through his head constantly. He had asked his doctor about it and had been told it was due to being away from his mate too long. With the time frame and severity of the symptoms, Doc Thompson figured the bonding process had been started, but not completed.

But Natashia had just essentially given him her blessing. She was telling him that he was the one who needed to find and protect Jayde.

Ryuu bowed to Natashia, holding it for a moment to show his gratitude and respect, before righting himself and facing the pit of darkness that was called a door. His dragon stirred, ready to get moving, and roared it’s excitement for battle in Ryuu’s mind.
