The Commander hisses. “Are you a witch?” he asks, disgust in his voice.
I look over at him. “No. I am just his wife.”
Dominik turns to the man, opening his mouth. His head shoots forward, jaws aiming for the Commander’s head. But the Commander dodges, diving to the left and rolling along the ground, landing in a kneeling stance.
“Obey me!” he shouts, snapping his finger again.
More lightning shoots through the collar, causing Dominik to jolt. He leans his head down, clawing desperately at the iron, trying to pull it off. The Commander snaps again, and another shock runs through Dominik. He roars in pain.
I try to take the distraction and run, heading towards the Commander. I manage to reach him without notice, but when I grab the hilt of the blade in his hands, he knocks me aside, glaring down at me. I jump back as he swings the sword down, trying to slice me in half.
