Three more days passed and Gemma still didn't leave her bedroom. Not being able to take it any more, Miguel went to her bedroom to have a chat with her, and this time he tried not to come off as being aggressive. He tried that before and it didn't work.
When he entered her bedroom, Gemma was sitting by her bedroom window staring at nothingness.
Miguel stood behind her for a long while, watching her view. It was past six in the evening and the day was gradually becoming dark. He wondered what she was staring at, there was nothing in view save for his neighbour's poorly groomed flower garden.
"It's a cool evening, would you like to go for a walk?" Miguel asked her and she gave a slow shake of her head in response.
Miguel let out a harsh breath, pulling his fingers through his hair. He didn't know how to get through to her and it was infuriating.
"I didn't hurt Juan, I listened to what you said and decided to let him be."
