บท 104: It Scares Him

Miguel stood by the coffee maker, staring mindlessly at the cup of coffee in his hand.

He had a lot on his mind and his wife occupied a major part of his thoughts. He was in love with her and he didn't know how to handle it. Admitting it to himself scared the shit out of him.

He has never been in love before. When he was much younger he thought he loved Helen but that was just infatuation.

With Gemma things felt different, and he knows that it's not just infatuation, he loves her and it scares him.

Every now and then he keeps hearing his father's voice in his head;

"Made men are not meant to be in love, not with their wives or mistresses. You can't be too attached to anything. The moment your enemies realize that they will go for the very thing that you love and are attached to."
