บท 49: Act Fast

By the time she woke up, it was already evening, her bedroom door opened, and Elena walked in. From the look on her face, Gemma knew her mother must have told her about it. The whole family would have known about it by now. 

Elena didn't say a word, she just came to the bed and gave Gemma a warm hug. They both remained in that position for a while before Elena pulled away. 

"How are you feeling?" Elena asked in a soft voice. 

"I don't know, confused, tired, stupid!" Gemma's eyes became filled with tears as she spoke. 

Elena didn't know how to console her, so she hugged her again. "Have you had something to eat? My mother prepared some potato casserole, I could go bring you some."

Elena's parent's house wasn't so far from Gemma's. her father works for Gemma's father in one of his companies and Elena's mom and Gemma's mom are quite close.

"I don't have an appetite for food."
