“Happy working, Jennet,” Mira said with a sinister chuckle before the door closed. Jennet gritted her teeth in annoyance.
Susan Banner shifted her attention towards Jennet, who was suppressing her anger. “Ignore her if she pushed your button. Don’t give in to anger to take over your rationality. Here, have some chocolate.” She handed a bar of chocolate towards her.
Susan Banner always kept chocolate bars whenever she made her round in the company. The daily routine of an inspection like she always said. She was a woman who always smiled and was always composed. No wonder Jerome fell for her.
Jennet eyed the chocolate. The anger dissipated when she saw it. She took it from Susan and thanked her for it. Then, she tore open the gold foil at the far end and took a bite. The sweetness from the chocolate calmed her bad mood.
“Just be yourself at all times. No matter what other people say, remember one thing; you are amazing just the way you are,” Susan spoke to comfort her.
