บท 226: The Palace Treasure Room (3)

"Is this a message for me, Ferron?" 

They - he and Cyril - were in the tearoom enjoying a cup of tea after Ferron had allowed his mistress, who had been having trouble the previous night, to get out of bed. Not only did Ferron check Cyril's temperature, but he also pressed his head against Cyril's chest to try to hear him breathe. 

It was so funny that General Adelman couldn't help but laugh. In the end, Cyril didn't want to talk to General Adelman, so he coaxed him like a sulking child with good tea. 

"This is not a letter for you, master. It's a letter for the General!" Ferron stopped beside him and handed General Adelman the letter he had brought from outside. "This letter is from Prince Algis, General!" confirmed Ferron. 

He put down the teacup in his hand before accepting the envelope Ferron handed him. He did not open it quickly. He studied the front and back of the envelope carefully. 

"What are you doing, General?"
