บท 189: The Talking Corpse (3)

Cyril understood almost nothing except the fact that there could be a war if they did not succeed in proving that Prince Messiah was not possessed and was only obsessed with gaining power. So a team was formed to go after the first army that sent a message of death to the kingdom of Absouth. Cyril was not among the chosen. 

Abbertus had suggested his name as one of those who would go. But Prince Algis refused for obvious reasons. Cyril was currently serving as a Knight of the Guard. A knight on duty was not allowed to leave his post.

"What if I suddenly have no choice but to leave my post?" asked Cyril. 

The council temporarily adjourned for lunch, and the nobles began to leave one by one. Only half of the nobles, who looked a few years older than Prince Algis, remained. They gathered and moved slowly toward the exit. 

"Do you remember the court hearing?" asked Prince Algis.
