Basic Spells Level Four, Collection of Ancient Runes, Curses and Counter-Curses…

Yvonne walked around the side of the bookshelf, looking at the books on it.

Flourish and Blotts was a small bookshop, much smaller than the Hogwarts library.

Also, there was no such thing as a library, or rather, it was not open to the general public, resulting in the lack of many advanced magical books on the shelves.

Ivan didn't care. It was enough for him to see for a long time.

After removing a copy of the Anthology of Ancient Runes from the shelf, Ivan found a secluded corner and sat down to read it alone.

The landlady at the counter occasionally paid attention to Ivan's movements, and was surprised to see him sitting in a corner for hours. She had rarely seen a young wizard so patient.

Ivan did not leave the bookshop until it was about to close. He also met the manager of the bookshop, the husband of the intellectual wife.

However, the manager of the wizarding shop did not look like the manager of the shop. He was not well-dressed, and Ivan almost mistook him for a shoplifter.

Ivan stayed at Flourish and Blotts for several days, reading three to five books a day to further his education.

He was also perfecting his knowledge of the wizarding world.

This speed was clearly not to Ivan's liking. The basic books on magic were fine, but the more advanced ones were mostly obscure and difficult to understand. Even if you read them over and over again, it would be difficult to push the reading progress to one hundred percent.

After expending an excessive amount of GPA, Ivan finally remembered the Learning Accelerator that he had left lying around for days, the diary of Tom the Horcrux.

On the third day, Ivan brought it to him and used it as a learning notebook.

After spending the whole summer together, Ivan had a rough estimate of Tom Riddle's basic charm theory, which was around level five.

He was slightly better at the Dark Arts than the others, and was able to teach him basic charm theory, which was only at Level Four.

As Ivan's system of knowledge was further refined, the relationship between the two sides grew from teaching to discussion.

[Ding, after a period of study, your mastery of the Basic Charms has improved. Current level: 4 (916/1600)]

[Ding! After a period of practice, your Occlumency has been upgraded to Level 4. Reward: 20 credits.]

Two system prompts rang out in Ivan's head. He closed the book and put it aside, looking at the Horcrux diary with satisfaction.

With Tom Riddle's help, his learning efficiency increased severalfold!

It had to be known that once a spell reached level four, it became increasingly difficult to improve. The proficiency bar was simply hopeless!

It would take at least a year or two for him to make any progress in his studies.

Furthermore, the "kind" Tom would help him level up his Occlumency in the process of learning, which was quite rare!

Ivan would not have wanted to destroy the Horcrux diary if he did not know how dangerous it was.

Of course, Tom's "selfless" efforts were not without reward, as he was able to extract a great deal of information from Ivan.

However, after receiving this information, Tom could not believe it and even wondered if he had misheard.

[You say the savior of the wizarding world who killed the Dark Lord twelve years ago was a newborn baby? How is that possible?]

Black ink marks covered most of the page in a short period of time, and the handwriting was messy. It was obvious that Tom could not contain his astonishment.

He could not help but be surprised. Anyone who heard that he had been killed by a newborn baby after painstakingly cultivating to become a great existence in the wizarding world would find it ridiculous.

Ivan would have been more comfortable if he had said that the Dark Lord had been defeated by Dumbledore or some powerful wizard.

Ivan became more tolerant of Tom's questions, as he was planning to destroy the diary before he went to school, so he didn't really care whether he answered or not…

Before long, Ivan was making things up in the diary.

[Yes! I heard that it was because the Dark Lord murdered The One's parents, and The One killed the Dark Lord in a fit of rage… every wizard in the British wizarding world knows about this!]

Tom Riddle fell silent.

He could not imagine how a baby, only a few days old, could destroy the Dark Lord in such a rage that even the fairy tales he had read in the Muggle Orphanage could not have done so!

However, under the search of the Dementor, Tom clearly understood that the young wizard in front of him thought so and was not lying to him.

Because of this, Tom was increasingly confused. He wondered if there was something wrong with the world.

Unbeknownst to Ivan, Tom was beginning to doubt the world because of his own words.

Ivan, however, realised that he had not been lying to Tom, as there were many rumours circulating about Harry in the wizarding community.

Wasn't it normal for an eleven-year-old wizard like him to listen to rumours?

Because of this, Ivan continued to disguise himself as a minor wizard and wrote in his diary:

[You also think Harry the Savior is very powerful, don't you? He killed the powerful Dark Lord so easily at birth…]

[Ah… Yes, very impressive!!] Tom replied after a moment of silence, feeling extremely aggrieved.

Suffering a blow from Ivan's words, Tom did not enquire further into the wizarding community after this conversation.

This disappointed Ivan somewhat.

Teasing Tom Riddle had become a form of recreation for him to relieve the boredom of reading, and was generally a pleasurable activity.

Ivan wondered if Voldemort would be relieved to learn that he had developed so many functions for the Horcruxes he had worked so hard for…

Seeing that the sun was setting, Ivan, considering that school would start in two days, brought his unfinished books to the front desk.

"Madam, how much is this copy of Advanced Transfiguration?"

"Three Galleons, eleven Sickles," the owner's wife said after a glance.

"This is not a book you should be reading right now, child. It is good to love knowledge, but sometimes we must learn to take things one step at a time!"

"Yes, a child your age should read a storybook, such as the story of the Muggle Princess and the Seven Fairies, which was just brought in today and only sells nine Sickles. I've heard that it's the Muggle children's favourite." The manager joined in the fun, carrying some books.

He thought it would be more practical for Ivan to read a few fairy tales than to pretend to be an adult, like the one in his hand, though the Muggle princess's decision to live with the giants after abandoning the seven goblins who had been caring for her ended in tragedy …
