The King of Anoid, King Murphy was already old and ready to die. Before he would die, he wanted his only son; Prince Richard to get married so he can have his blessings and die with a smile on his face.
His son was so stubborn and was still living in the past. The young man refused to get married and insisted on getting his childhood crush back.
King Murphy sets up a series of blind dates for his son but he never fell in love with any.
His last date was Olivia, the duke's daughter, and his friend's twin sister and he couldn't reject her.
Both of them had a walk outside the walls of the Kingdom of Anoid.
The atmosphere was tense, Olivia didn't know how to break the silence and her brother persuaded her to marry Richard at all costs and now she was here; outside the walls of the Kingdom with the cold prince.
"Prince Richard, let's go fishing," Olivia suggested, hoping to break the silence but didn't realize she was going to regret what she just said.
"Do I look like a fisherman?" Prince Richard retorted. He wanted to leave her alone for the dogs to feast on her but he wasn't that heartless.
Olivia remained calm, and neither of them agreed to bring up a discussion. Meanwhile, Prince Richard was thinking about how lovely the fishing would be with his childhood sweetheart. He missed her and vowed to get her back.
He probably can't make himself love again no matter how much his father persuades him. On the other hand, Olive got his plans on making his sister the future queen of Anoid.
Not knowing that the woman he was madly in love with was having her issues.
The Prophetess had told her that she would see the meanings of her dreams but she wasn't.
The all didn't make any sense to her.
She was close to the ocean of the galaxy. Playing with its waters and at the same time crying. She wailed loudly, regretting the life that fate has brought to her.
Unlike other people that lived a happy life, married to the man of their dreams, Ariel was different. Her life was planned by her fate and now fate led her to the place she could never have imagined herself to be. She just wanted to disappear from the world at large. She was angry at her fate, angry at the people that caused her pain.
She was angry at the world. Forgetting the fact that it was her father who pushed her to the marriage, it was the only chance of saving her kingdom back then but now she regretted it.
Seeing that she couldn't invoke her anger on anything at all, Ariel remembered the necklace that was tied around her neck. She removed the necklace that was given to her by her husband and glanced at it for a moment. While glancing at her stared back at the ocean not knowing what to do. She raised her hand, wanting to throw the precious necklace away for the ocean to consume but something stopped her.
She looked around and saw nobody. But she had the feeling that someone was there watching her. Ariel found a pair of cold blue eyes staring sternly at her in the woods.
There was no object, no weapon for her to protect herself because the eyes and the owner of it were coming closer.
Still concentrating on where the unknown creature was coming from, she dug her hand into the ocean in fear thinking that the water would calm her nerves. When she removed her hand from the ocean, a shiny dagger appeared on top of her palm.
Ariel was shocked at what had just happened and was scared of the unknown creature and the ocean of the galaxy. The creature was already coming closer, closer than she expected.
With a blunt mind, she threw the dagger at it and the dagger landed in the creature's chest. The creature was badly injured and as soon as the dagger's mission was accomplished, it disappeared.
Ariel was now left looking at the creature who just knelt in pain, holding its chest with its large palm.
"Why?!" She heard the beast say. The voice was familiar.
The young woman was confused. Before she could say anything further the creature disappeared, leaving her all alone in the woods. She yelled up to the sky as if it would save her from the horrific and strange things that were going on in her life lately.
The lass screamed while she woke up. It was a good thing that her room was soundproof and no one could hear a thing. Her forehead was covered in beads of sweat. Ariel was gradually losing her mind. She unconsciously spoke to herself about how badly she had hurt the dreadful creature that wanted to attack her in her dream.
"Ohhh, it wasn't real!" She assured herself.
Hell no! The assurance wasn't working. Everything seemed so real to her and she couldn't contain it.
Though her eyes are open she can't think of why; her heart was pounding, and her mind is empty. It's as if a hypodermic of adrenaline has been emptied into her carotid. Ariel strained into the utter darkness, breathing rate beginning to steady.
Upon waking up, her brain replayed the last scene in her dream. It kept repeating itself.
The strange voice she heard.
"Why?!"
She clutched her bedsheet tight and embraced herself in fear.
The creature was hiding in the wood growling. It was running wild, the injury formed an 'O' on its bare chest. It was quite deep and hurt the beast so badly. The pain was unbearable and began to bite itself digging its sharp fangs into its flesh to ease the pain but it wasn't working.
The creature was doing itself more harm than good and it wasn't helping at all. It tried using its claws to tear out its flesh but it caused more pain.
The beast lay on the ground full of dried wood and passed out, slowly transforming into a normal person; a naked being.
