บท 619: 619. Sunrise

Mauve sat on the bench with Jael. She was on the rooftop waiting for the sun to rise, and Jael sat with her. They were both staring at the sky, neither of them saying anything. She rested most of her body on him while one of his arms wrapped around her, holding her to himself. 

They sat right in the middle of her garden, surrounded by flowers and the scent filled the air, along with the smell that accompanied sunrise. Mauve felt very content to sit here with Jael in silence and stare at nothing.

"Do you ever wonder about sunrise?" She asked.

He looked down at her with an amused expression. "Why? Do you think I have never seen one?"

"You have?" She asked, her voice a mixture of horror and curiosity.

"Yeah."

"How? Is that possible? Isn't the sun dangerous to you?"
