บท 535: 535. How Loud?

"Mill," Mauve suddenly called.

"Yes," the vampire said absentmindedly as she washed Mauve's back.

"How loud is my breath?" She asked.

Mill paused washing Mauve's back for a second as though she was processing the question before she continued.

"Loud enough, I guess."

"You can hear it clearly even when I am talking?" She asked.

"Yeah," she said, obviously not sure about the purpose of the conversation.

"How far away do I have to be from you to not hear it?"

"I don't know but as long as I am in this room. I am very much aware of your heartbeat."

"Oh," Mauve replied.

"Why?" She asked, the confusion apparent in her voice.

"Well my heartbeat suddenly changed rhythm today during the last meal and everyone turned to look at me," Mauve explained.
