"You sound surprised to see me but I wouldn't say happy. Are you okay?" He asked.

"Yeah. What are you doing here?" She asked.

"What's that supposed to mean? The library isn't exactly your personal space. I can come here whenever I want," he explained with a smug expression plastered across his face.

She gave him a blank stare before rolling her eyes. "I was just surprised to see you there."

"Yeah, I already said that and I also mentioned the not too happy part. Though I think it's probably because I witnessed something I shouldn't have."

"Then don't talk about it."

"You know that's impossible," he grinned at her.

"You're impossible." She started for the seats. Hopefully, if she could rest her rear, she could calm down a bit.

"Don't be like that, Mauve. I genuinely want to know what's wrong. Was it Jael? Would you like me to scold him?"

"Would you really do that for me?" She spun and glared at him.
