บท 60: 60. I Could Never Stay

"Knew?" The Vampire King asked with a frown but Vae could not see this as she had her head bent and was staring hard at her toes. 

It was taking all her willpower to not run away from here. However, this was something that she had to see the end of. Now that she has proof, there was no reason for her to be here anymore.

"That's what you meant by bloodstained sheets. I thought you humans had a weird ritual or you expected me to bleed her out enough to stain the sheets." He slowly shook his head as he spoke.

"Yes," she replied and her head remained bent.

"And this is normal for human females."

Vae nodded.

"I see," he said. "Often?" 

"No, just the first time, your grace."

"Okay. Is she asleep?"

"Not yet, she is eating in bed."

"Is there anything else?"
