Jael ran his fingers over his teeth as he walked away from Mauve. His fangs were still engorged and so was his lower region. He resisted the urge to look back as he knew he wouldn't be able to leave.

He had heard the library door open and had known they were going to be interrupted. He wished he didn't have to go but duty calls, more than anything he needed to hear their reports.
