I slowly lean down and place a light kiss on his black lips before placing a kiss on his cold forehead. I will kill everyone here who sat back and watched without doing anything.
The King suddenly yells out, "Seize the dragon! It must belong to the imperial bloodline!" I hear Abell snort behind me as I slowly stand up and turn to the King. "What a foolish, selfish, little man," I say slowly walking over to him.
He sputters in anger and embarrassment as he yells, "How dare you call your King foolish and selfish! Who do you think you are?" I yell back, "You are NOT MY KING!! You are an idiot who doesn't even know that his own death is coming!"
The Queen remains in her seat, watching me with fear in her clear eyes. The King yells out, "Guards, kill the witch!!" I slowly smirk but it's something wicked. I sneer and say, "Ah, you finally have it correct. I'm not a goddess, I'm not a princess, I'm a fucking witch and I'm about to become your worst nightmare!"
I slowly lift my hand, staring at the imbecile with burning hatred when suddenly a large hand wraps around mine. A strong arm snakes around my waist, pulling me against a large chest as a heavy head leans on my shoulder.
My entire body tenses as I forget to breathe. Bolin's deep smooth voice tickles my ear as he says, "As much as I want to watch you kill him, I ask that you give me the honor of doing it. I have old scores to settle with him."
My hands shake as my eyes burn with fresh tears. When I try to turn, he keeps me still as he says, "Just give me a moment. I'm trying to push out the poison." He brings in my hand and hugs me from behind.
If there wasn't a large dragon eating people and people screaming in terror, it would look like a scene from a romantic movie. She honestly looked as if she was bobbing for apples, human apples.
I sag into him as a soft sob escapes me. He tightens his hold on me and says, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you. I tried to push it out as fast as possible." The King yells out, "What are you idiots doing!? Kill them and capture the dragon!"
Bolin lifts his head and snaps, "Shut up!" Black shadows burst from him and fly straight at the King! He stumbles back, trying to get away but he's not fast enough. When the shadows hit him, his eyes roll back, and he falls down like a stiff board.
The shadows grab the King as a black hole opens up in the ground. They pull him into the hole, and it's quickly sealed. When Bolin looks at the Queen, he silently nods to her. She stiffly nods back in fear.
Someone tries to run past us but a long black tail wraps around his leg and quickly pulls him back. He screams as Abell tosses him up in the air and opens her large mouth. As soon as her mouth snaps shut, she turns to look for her next victim.
She did say she was hungry... it wasn't fish though.
As if hearing my thoughts, she turns to me and says, [It will do for now. I will probably get indigestion from all these bones.] I smile at her, grateful. I turn and finally look at Bolin. His lips were still slightly black, but he was looking better.
I reach up to his face looking him over as I ask, "Are you okay? I thought you died..." He gives me a dark smirk as he says, "And leave you behind? Never. Where is that bastard?" I blink before quickly turning to look for Weimin, but I don't see him.
Did he run as soon as he saw my powers coming back? What a slippery snake... I look around and see all the other nobles huddled in a corner together as I say, "I think he ran..." Bolin's dark eyes deepen as he says, "Don't worry, I will find him and bring him back before you so that you can kill him."
I give him a small smile as I lift the magic on the building, as soon as they could leave, they all run. Bolin asks, "Are you going to let them go?" I shrug as I say, "I have you back, that's all that matters." He smiles down at me but then frowns.
Hundreds if not thousands of guards come rushing toward the building with weapons pulled. The Queen tries to come forward, "Stop, all of you stand down!" Several servants grab her and start pulling her away. I realize that she can't help.
She told me before that her position was nothing but a title and now, I get to see that firsthand. It seems like I will have to break everything down and rebuild it before placing her back on top.
Bolin looks up at the sun and grits his teeth before saying, "If it was dark, I would have no problem handling them all..." I look at the growing number of soldiers and realize we're facing an entire army! No matter how powerful my magic is... taking on an entire army is insane.
The ground shakes as Abell steps forward and says, [It's not just you. You have him and you have me.] I give her a weak smile as I say, "Three against thousands is still not... good."
Suddenly, Mago yells, "I'm back!! Mwhaha! It's four against thousands! Wait, when did you get a Dragon?" My heart warms as I reach up and touch my necklace with relief. He was back and safe. He couldn't enter the Artifact, so he had no knowledge about Abell.
Bolin smirks as he looks up at Abell and then back to me before saying, "You're always surprising me."
His eyes shift to me as he says, "It's five against thousands." Suddenly, an enormous black dragon burst from Bolin, shocking Abell and I both. I stumble back as the large black dragon with red glowing eyes steps up behind Bolin.
Abell was large but Bolin's dragon made her look small!! Abell widens her eyes at the large dragon, speechless. The two dragons stare at each other in silence as the army below us slow to a stop. They look at the two dragons with fear in their eyes.
They look down at their swords and bows with a look of mockery. How were they supposed to fight two dragons!? The first one was scary enough but the new one is twice as big!
I look back to Bolin with wide eyes filled with shock. "You have a dragon?" I ask in awe. He gives me a knowing smile as he says, "I share a bloodline with the last remaining dragon. His name is Haoyu and he's been with me since I was ten."
I look up at Haoyu with wide eyes as I slowly nod my head. I'll have to ask more about this later but for now... I slowly turn back to the army before us with sweaty palms. Fine, if they wanted a war... so be it. I will give them what they want and more.
I will break down this entire kingdom and place the Queen at the very top.
