บท 31: Unspoken Words
Bolin's smile deepens at her reply, but he decides not to continue teasing her. He didn't really want to run her off, but he couldn't help but tease her. She was entirely too fun with her reactions. He picks up a few pieces of food and places them in front of her with a warm smile in his eyes.
He barely knows the woman but is already so smitten with her. He was truly in trouble. He had to be careful about how he handled her though. If she wanted to, she could run from him and make things extremely difficult for him.
No, he wanted her to want to say. He wanted to sneak his way into her heart and have her stay next to him of her own accord. To do that, he needed time. He agreed to help her, but he will only show her so much and take his time in doing so.
He doesn't want her to return to her world, a world he doesn't know if he can even reach. He just has to show this world's appeal to her. What it has to offer... what he has to offer. If she wishes for it, he'd give her the whole world. All she has to do is say the word.
Hell, if she wanted to way waste to this world, he'd do it for her as long as she remained by his side. He remains lazily leaning on the table, watching her eat the food without giving away his true thoughts. Every so often, he places more food in front of her when he notices the ones she really likes.
Yes, just like this. He wants her to remain by his side so he can give her everything she wants while teasing her. The thought amuses him. He never thought that he would ever wish for something like this but here he is... enjoying every look, touch, and new sensation the woman before him gave him. He was in trouble, and he liked it.

Huan stands back gawking. He's had to snap his mouth shut several times, but nothing could prepare him for the look of affection his Master was currently giving the strange woman. Right then and there, he made a silent vow to always treat the woman with the utmost respect.
His Master clearly liked the woman, which means if anything happens to her, they will have to answer to him. He shivers, pitying the fool who makes that mistake. In all his years, he's never seen his Master act like this, never.
He didn't know what to think of this new side or what changes it would bring. All he can do is keep his head down, stay out of the way, and hope for the best.

Weimin and his men wrap up the investigation in silence, but Weimin couldn't help but think back to Lyra. She was hurt. That's why she hadn't moved. And that damn psycho Bolin came out of nowhere and kidnapped her!
He grits his teeth in anger, upset at himself for hesitating and losing the chance to save her. He wants to chase Bolin down, but he has no way of doing that. Bolin has always moved in mysterious ways and in ways that make it impossible to track.
For now, he will focus on the problem at hand. There was a mysterious power here and he thinks it has something to do with the demon sightings. Whoever it was, he would stop at nothing to put an end to them and bring them to justice.

Somewhere further away, the air ripples as lightning crawls across the sky like boney fingers of death. A ripping sound is heard as a pair of black boots land on the freshly fallen leaves. The man takes a few steps forward as several other men step up behind him.
His dark blue eyes look around the open woods with a sinister smile. The rip in the air seals shut and the lightning disappears as if it was never there. Dade closes his eyes for a moment before opening them with a smile.
He looks around with wonder as he says, "She's here, I can sense her magic. Find Lyra." The men behind him call out "Yes" before disappearing one after the other. He remains standing as he uses his magic to scan the area around him.
It was faint, but he could feel her magic. It saturated the air like a fine mist, but he couldn't sense her or pinpoint her exact location. He frowns, wondering how and why that was. It doesn't matter, he will find her and bring her back. To think, she ended up in a parallel world.
They didn't think it was even possible, but she had somehow figured it out. The only way they were able to follow, was because of the traces left behind by Mago. He had left a magical trail. It took a while for them to figure it out, but in the end, once they locked on the trail it didn't take long.
She was truly worthy of being the woman he likes. His smile grows as he takes a step forward, in search of Lyra. The only thing he didn't understand was why she was still here. Did she want to stay here?
His dark blue eyes narrow before dismissing that thought. The only possibility left is that she had somehow gotten stuck here. Why? Had her coming here been completely accidental? It's possible given the situation she was in with Aiya and the others.
If that's the case, that's even better.
His smile grows dark as he thinks about being the one to 'save' her. Knowing her, she'd want revenge and to do that, she would have to go back. He would be her only choice in going back. He places a hand in his pocket as he rubs the tips of his fingers together on the other.
This is the perfect chance. He will make her an offer she can't refuse. As long as she agrees and takes his hand, he'll bring her back and help her kill Aiya and her whole family. Lyra was the last remaining Alarie.
The Alarie bloodline is said to derive from Nyx, the goddess of darkness and chaos herself. The Alarie bloodline is also known for being all-powerful and for good reason. Lyra Alarie had to be his, it couldn't be anyone else, but he had to hurry.
It was only a matter of time before that old man Vanir and the other council members find a way just like he had. And of course, Aiya. He knew she had been sticking close, trying to overhear anything that may give away anything pertaining to Lyra.
But he won't let her interfere with his plans.
