Noah's Point of View
Finally, we were home. It had been a horrible two days with Kristof out of action and me in charge. I was so glad I wasn't Alpha. Didn't want the responsibility. It was hard enough being second in command without having the added pressure of being totally in charge. This incident had shown me that. Aláine was now home, and Kristof was calm and collected as an Alpha should be.
Zayde arrived just moments before I did, and I met him just outside the front door. I gathered that he was going to check on Aláine and me. I had been in the wars a bit lately and looked forward to not getting injured again for a long time. I could certainly do without getting shot, especially by silver bullets. At least I would heal quickly.
