Syl got a text.
He got out of bed and walked out of the dorms in his pink bunny slippers, onesie, and night vision sunglasses.
It was already dark out and he was playing with a lanyard he found earlier that week with his keys on it.
He was spinning them around his fingers and whistling.
He was also shimmying side to side to the beat.
He eventually approached two familiar people but decided to mind his own business.
He looked to the sky and watched the snow fall for a moment.
Syl held his hand out in front of him and caught a few snowflakes.
He looked at them and compared each of them, noting how different each ones patterns were.
"They're much more beautiful when you can see their intricacies."
Syl smiled and bent over, picking up a pile of snow in his hand and rounding it out.
"I haven't done this in a while." Syl muttered as he finished off the snowball.
He tossed it up and then had a thought.
He threw the snowball at the duo he saw earlier.
It hit one of them in the face, the exact moment they came to a realization, almost like the snowball awakened the feelings inside them.
Syl chuckled. "I'm practically cupid."
Kei, who was hit by the snowball, frantically looked around and eventually noticed Syl.
"You little shit!!!" She yelled out as she picked up a chunk of snow.
Syl pointed at her and laughed.
Kei gumbled something before handing the snowball to Ayanokoji.
"Kiyotaka! Get him!"
Ayanokoji held the snowball in his hand for a moment before throwing it in Syl's direction.
Syl wasn't paying attention as he was too busy laughing at the fact that Kei's realization of her love for Ayanokoji was now forever synonymous with her getting hit in the face with a snowball.
The snowball hit Syl right in the neck and snow and water ran down his chest underneath his onesie.
"Cold!" Syl frantically tried everything he could to get the snow out of his bunny suit.
Eventually he gave up but looked at the duo with a murderous glare.
"This is my favourite onesie. You shall pay!"
He pick up two more snowballs and threw one at Ayanokoji's face.
Ayanokoji dodged but Syl ran at him and jumped on his back with another snowball in hand and a crazed smile on his face.
"You fucked up, Kiyopon." Syl said as he stuffed the snowball down the back of Ayanokoji's shirt.
Ayanokoji tried to resist and keep himself dry but Syl wouldn't let him.
Once Syl got the snow down his back he jumped off his back. "Don't think I forgot about you, witch."
Syl picked up another snowball and ran at Kei.
She flinched and covered her face with her hands as she turned her head away.
Syl did a frontflip over her and landed behind her.
He tapped her on her shoulder.
"Eh?" Kei said as she turned around. Confused as to who could be behind her.
Syl was holding his hand up and shoved the snowball right into her face before smearing it around.
"Bad doggie." He said simply.
Kei frantically wiped the snow off her face. "So cold."
Then she bent over and picked up another snowball.
Ayanokoji also had two in his hands.
Syl saw this and started sweating, slowly backing away. "Let's all be civil here."
Kei smirked. "No." She tossed her snowball at Syl.
Syl tried to dodge but another snowball flying at a much faster speed hit him in the face.
Syl flopped to the ground like he had been shot.
"Not my beautiful face!" He cried out.
Ayanokoji and Kei didn't listen as they both reloaded and threw more snowballs at Syl.
Syl rolled on the ground to avoid them and ran away, taking cover behind a tree.
He picked up a bunch of snow from the ground and started making 10 snowballs rapidly.
He picked up two of them and peeked around the tree, only to see that Kei and Ayanokoji had disappeared from sight.
He narrowed his eyes and looked around, seeing a shadow move from behind a tree.
Syl instantly pelted the tree trunk with a snowball.
Kei, thinking it was safe, came out from behind the tree with a snowball in hand ready to fire.
Only to be hit in the face before she even knew what was happening.
"Kyaa!" She dropped her own snowball and fell to the ground on her butt.
Syl chuckled. "Read like a book."
Suddenly he felt a cold sensation on the back of his neck.
"Played like a fiddle." Ayanokoji muttered from behind him.
Syl shrugged his shoulders backwards and brought his head down. "Ahh. C-cold."
Ayanokoji picked up some more snowballs from Syl's stack and started throwing them at his back as he ran away again.
Syl ran over to Kei. "Can you believe he would use you like that?"
Kei pouted. "Isn't he so mean?"
Syl looked at her and smiled. She smiled back.
They both picked up snowballs at the same time, but instead of throwing them at each other, they turned around.
"You shouldn't have abandoned your partner." Syl said as the two both started throwing snowballs at Ayanokoji.
He ran away behind a tree after getting hit once or twice.
Syl and Kei both picked up snowballs and flanked from both sides. A pincer attack!
Ayanokoji decided to ignore Kei as she was less of a threat and focused on Syl. They both traded attacks and each of them got hit.
Syl smiled as he pointed behind Ayanokoji.
Kei was standing a few feet away with an open shot.
Kei smiled and threw the snowball.
It sailed over Ayanokoji's shoulder and hit an unsuspecting Syl in the face.
"EH?" Syl said as he wiped his face.
"You can't aim for shit!" He called out.
Kei giggled and did a little celebratory dance. "Hahaha! Got you!"
Syl's jaw dropped. "Y-you-you-y-you witch!"
Kei pulled down on her eyelid and stuck out her tongue. "Blehh!"
Syl paused for a moment before bursting into laughter.
Kei joined him and even Ayanokoji smirked.
Syl froze when he saw this.
"Did you write it down?" He asked seriously.
Kei nodded.
"What?" Ayanokoji asked.
"The date! It's the first time you've ever smiled!" Kei called out happily.
'I made him smile!' She thought.
Syl laughed. "I finally made you smile."
Kei glared daggers at him. "No! I did!"
"Wha- you're delusional!" Syl replied.
"Am not!"
"Are too!"
"Am not!" She yelled as she hit him in the face with another snowball.
Syl froze and picked one up.
He ran after her chasing her around with a snowball in hand.
"I'll get you, you damn dog!"
The two ran around having another snowball fight as Ayanokoji watched from the sidelines, a faint smile on his lips that nobody saw, not even Ayanokoji realized it was there.
Eventually Kei called on him for support as she was losing.
Ayanokoji sighed and joined back in, coming to her rescue.
This chapter made me smile and feel warm inside. It's so wholesome and nostalgic, reminds me of the good ole days.
