บท 246: Do as you please

"What?" Hamon and Ara uttered at the same time. Ara's heart felt heavy at the news of the king's death. This wasn't good at all.

Hamon's voice was low as he asked, "What did they say was the cause of his death?"

"Heart disease. I believe that was the result of the royal physician. But of course, you'll have to confirm the result yourself later on. Something doesn't seems right about his majesty's sudden death."

Hamon's mind wandered back to the night of their attack. He recalled that Damien had told him that Merona had gone to talk to his father about Cassius, and then his father had sent him a letter, which he doubts was written by the king. If his father was the one to write the letter, he would have been at the meeting place, but he didn't show up, which meant Merona had done something to him that night.

She had used his father's name to lure him out of his residence to have him trapped in a laid out ambush she'd planned!
