บท 37: Pixelator
"Wonderful! I love them! What did you say your name was again?"
"Uh, it's Yin."
"Well, Yin," said Jagged Stone. "I am giving you a free ticket to my gig tonight. You can go now. If you have any questions, you can give them to Penny, bye now!" He shut the door in my face.
I made a face at the door even though it did nothing wrong. "You're welcome," I grumbled. I could probably give the ticket to someone, I don't need it anyway. Maybe sell it like that autograph to get back the money I lost today.
"Hey, I think those glasses were really cool. I can see why Jagged Stone was so excited to try them on!" Said Hedwig as I was walking to the elevator.
I smiled at the encouraging words she was giving me. "Thanks. Personally, I think they're awesome too."
All of a sudden, I heard a clicking sound coming from behind. I turned around to see what it was.
I saw a man with bubble-gum pink hair in a blue and black suit. Pixelator!
I held in a gasp as I dashed into the elevator.
When the doors of the elevator finally closed, I transformed. "Hedwig, the moon has risen!" I said as Hedwig flew out.
I dashed into Jagged Stone's hotel room as soon as the doors open.
When I got in, I saw Pixelator kneeling on the king-size bed. Jagged Stone was back to back with a painting on the wall, his eyes shut close.
I turned my belt into a lasso, and lassoed Jagged Stone. The popstar fell to the ground rom shock. Pixelator
"So your the nameless holder of the Blue Owl Miraculous," said Pixelator. "I've some quite pathetic things about you. Look into the lens~!"
As a beam of pixels was being shot at Jagged Stone and I, so I quickly made a shield to block the attack. But Pixelator didn't stop his shooting.
I place Jagged Stone behind a wall, so that he would be protected by Pixelator's attacks. On the other hand, I had to run out and face Pixelator.
I was bouncing off of walls and the ceiling, dodging the pixels fired at me, all while making sure Jagged Stone was still safe.
Then, Pixelator had me cornered on a balcony. "No where to go now!"
"Oh yeah?" I said smugly. I spread open my arms and wings came out from my back. As i took off into the air, I looked for another balcony I could land back on, Jagged Stone was still in there after all. Unfortunately, Pixelator had shot one of my wings while I was distracted.
"AHH!" I screamed, desperately trying to stay in the sky by flapping my another wing. Luckily I was able to get down slowly enough to not hurt my self, though I did land on my bum.
I lifted up my left arm to take a look at my wings. There was a literal hole in it, guess I won't be able to fly for the rest of this akuma fight.
I stood up from the ground and realized that I was right in front of the hotel doors. There was a red hat on the ground. Probably Kim's.
To my relief, saw Adrien and Chloe still at the main desk when I walked in the lobby.
"Who are you?" Asked Chloe. "Your outfit is fab! Are you a superhero?"
"Uh...Thanks..." Don't think too much of it, I told myself. She's only being nice to me because I'm a superhero. "Listen, Chloe. You have to get out of here! There's an akumatised villain in this hotel!" Adrien too, but he's going to transform into Chat Noir so...
"Don't worry, super girl! Even if there was one, they wouldn't want to harm a single head on my head! Everyone adores me!" Said Chloe.
I tried my best not make a disgusted face, I needed Chloe to cooperate with me.
"Chloe, an akumatised person is being manipulated by Hawk Moth, they won't remember whether or not they like you! It's better to escape first!"
"What the lady said is true, Chloe. You should evacuate this hotel right now."
"Chat Noir?" I asked without turning my head.
He bowed. "The one and only!" He really likes saying that, doesn't he.
"Okay, okay! I'll go!" Said Chloe, making an annoyed face. Finally!
"Thank you," I said. I turned to Chat. "I'm going to look for something. The akuma victim is on the second floor, you go after them first, okay? Jagged Stone is stuck in there with him. His name is Pixelator, and I think that his akuma is in the camera around his head, don't let his camera aim at you. He'll trap you in it!"
"I bet I'd look good in that photo ," Chat said smirking.
I rolled my eyes, but my lips spread into a smile. "Just go, Kittykat."
After checking that Chloe had left the hotel, I went to the main dumpster to find Marinette. She probably still doesn't know about the akuma yet, so I've got to warn her.
I spread my wings to fly, but fell to the floor instead. Right, busted wing.
Annoyed, I walked to the back of the hotel and saw my friends.
"Excuse me?" I called out.
Alya and her inner reporter came running towards me with no fear or suspicion whatsoever. "Oh my god! Are you a new superhero?"
"Uh, yeah! New? Not too much...I was the one who defeated Reflekta."
"I heard that Ladybug still helped devilize the akuma though," said Marinette with a wary face. She had stayed where she was. Still doesn't trust me, does she, I thought.
"So, how long will you be in Paris? Are you going to be protecting Ladybug and Chat Noir from now on? Or are you here temporally? I have so many questions!" Asked Alya. She was practically levitating from all her jumping.
I gave an amused sigh at Alya's excitement. "Maybe you'll get a chance to do that! But," I said, making a serious face. "Right now, I need you and your friend to get as far as you can from this building," I pointed to the hotel. "There's an akuma in there."
"I'd leave this dump without a second thought, but I'm not going away. I need to film this for my Ladyblog!" Said Alya, running into the hotel lobby.
I sighed. "I'll going to go stop her. Please stay safe, okay?" I told Marinette. More like please stay here and transform into Ladybug.
I ran back into the hotel lobby, just in time to see Pixelator immortalize Alya.
The outline of a butterfly appeared in front of Pixelator's face when he looked at me. "Ah, welcome back!" Said Pixelator as the butterfly disappeared.
"Look in to the lens~! "
I hopped onto the front desk to avoid the blast of pixels.
As the second one came, I leaped of the table I was standing on and sent a kick to Pixelator's face, causing his camera to fall off his head
"My camera!" Pixelator shouted. He picked it up and glared at me angrily.
He shot a few more blast at me while I continued dodging them. Pixelator aimed at me again, but when he pressed the button, nothing came out.
Assuming that it was just a small error, he pressed the button again. But still, nothing came out.
"You broke my camera!" Screamed Pixelator furiously.
