You sat at your seat, looking at your puffed out jacket. It looked awful on you, is what you thought. Though, nobody noticed.
It was always in your head. Nobody really cared about what you looked like...except Chloe. She often picked on you for your weight.
You lightly shook your head, clearing your mind of the thought. You looked around the room, locking eyes with a certain blonde. His eyes darted away from yours with a blush appearing over them.
"Uhh...", you mumbled. you thought. You shook it off, and turned back to face the board.
"Ok, class. I will be assigning you partners for this project. It will take you over a week to do this, so I suggest clearing your calender for any after school activities.", the teacher called. You sighed in despair to escape the project.
A list of names were called out. She called out Adrien's name...then yours. "You two will be working on a narrative essay about any topic you want."
You walked over to the blonde, ready to get this over with. You never really hung out with Adrien, but you knew he was a cool person to be around. You noticed, howrver, Chloe glaring at you.
Tears threatened to spill from your eyes before you wiped them away. This wouldn't settle in right with her. You just knew it.
Adrien smiled at you, saying, "Hey. S-so, umm, what do you want the topic to be?" You thought for a moment. It couldn't be about the superheroes because everybody was going to do that.
"How about we do it over the Parisian History...hmmm....maybe...the Eifel Tower?"
He nodded his head while a blush crept to his cheeks. You, however, didn't notice. "So, obviously she said we weren't gonna get it done this week, so who's house do you wanna work at?", you asked.
He stuttered out, "W-well we could study at my place. My dad d-doesn't really let me go places." His face dropped down. You felt bad for this kid.
"That sounds fine. I'll tell my mom when I get home, and meet you at your place."
His heart raced in joy. You accepted! His cheeks deepened into a glowing red.
You both sat down, you gazing at your jacket once more. Then, you looked at your big, chunky legs. (Sorry, this is basically me, so, yeah.)
Adrien noticed, but didn't want to upset you in any way. He just tried to grab your attention by clearing his throst. "Umm, how are we gonna do this? I mean, umm, y-you know. Th-the paper."
You laughed at his cuteness. Unbeknownst to you, your cheeks had heated as well. You opened your school device, searching any information you could on the Eifel Tower.
"I'll search, you write.", you instructed. He nodded his head, turning to listen for any further information. He thought, during your time researching, about your (H/l), (H/c) hair, how it glistened in the light, while your (E/c) eyes danced gleefully.
The bell suddenly rang, alerting you to head to math class. Soon, the day was over. You rode the bus, and went home.
As usual, your mother was not home, she was at work. Your sibling had gone off to their friend's house, leaving you alone. You dialed your mom's number, it ringing a few times before she answered.
"Hello?"
You took a deep bresth. This was gonna take some convincing. "Hey, Mama. I have a question."
"What is it? Hurry, I need to get back to
Your head dropped at her response. "I was just wondering if I could go to a friend's house for a project. We're partners-"
"Fine, go ahead. Now, I need to get back to work."
You took the device from your ear, looking at it to hear an "I love you, bye." Then, the call ended.
You sighed in disapointment. , you though, You quickly grabbed a snack, and munched on it before heading out.
As you walked along the road, you dialed Adrien's number. It rang a total of two times before he answered. "Hello?"
You put on a smile as if he were in front of you. "Hey, Adrien. It's (Y/n). My mom said I could come over. Is it okay with your dad?" You waited a minute before he came back.
"U-uh, yes! Of course!"
You laughed. You then bid him a goodbye, as you were turning on his street. You walked up to the Agreste Mansion, gawking at its beauty. You took your eyes from the palace like house, and brought your attention to a buzzer.
You pressed it, and a feminine voice called, "Who is it?" You hesitated before answer, "Umm, I'm (Y/n) (L/n). Adrien and I are partners for our Language Arts project, ma'am." You assumed this lady had to be his mother, but once she opened the gates and greeted you, you knew she wasn't.
"Hello, Miss (L/n). Please, come in."
You did as told, and followed her into the house. Inside, it was only prettier. She led you to a room, which you assumed to be Adrien's.
She called into the door, "Adrien, you have a guest. You can stop your piano lessons for now. But, I expect you to be able to recite each and every piece by tomorrow." You winced at the large amount of work.
Now, you just felt sorry for Adrien. With the stress of school and this, how was he able to do it all? You thought about a possible outcome, but knew better.
When he opened the door, his eyes lit up to see you. He smiled, and pulled you inside. "U-uh, thank you!", you shouted to the woman while waving.
An hour later, you were only half way done with the project. Turns out, Adrien was a very fast worker. You sighed.
Your stomach grumbled. You mentally facepalmed. you yelled at yourself.
Adrien looked over at you. "Is something wrong?", he asked you. You shook your head, thankful he didn't hear your hungriness. He turned back only for an even louder grumble to sound from your stomach.
You stuffed your hands over your stomach, hoping it would muffle any sound. It did not.
Your cheeks heated in embarrasment. "Hey, umm, Adrien?" He turned to you, watching your eyes darted back and forth. "Yeah?", he asked you.
You hesitated before saying, "I should get going. I'm hoping my mom will cook tonight so I don't have to...is that okay?" He dropped his head with a frown, and then brought it back up.
"Well, you could have dinner with us. I mean, it gets a little lonely at our table."
By the tone in his voice, you could tell he had planned an entire evening with you. You felt very guilty. You didn't want to intrude on their family mesl, tough.
"It's totally okay either way...It's just that, I don't want to intrude on your, umm, dinner. And my mom rarely ever cooks."
You suddenly stopped yourself from saying anything else. You didn't want to talk about food. It made you uncomfortable, like people would judge you if you even touched the tip of that subject.
At least, that's what Chloe did.
Adrien grabbed your hand swiftly, saying, "Please, (Y/n). My dad won't even be there." You sighed, defested. "Fine..."
You felt really bad, guilty, and self conscious about this whole ordeal.
Suddenly, his frown was replaced with a smile. Your cheeks grew red. His smile was adorable.
The way he looked at you, longingly. That's how you wanted others to look at you. You understood how Adrien felt, not being able to have friends over, or sleep overs.
You grabbed your device, clicking on your mom's contsct. It rang a total of five times before it went to voice-mail. Your eyes looked down at the ground. You tried again.
It rang four times vpbefore the filth ring was cut off. "Hello?" You looked up to see the screen having the call on. "Hey, Mama. Can I have dinner at my friend's house? It will take me a while to get home anyway. I'd miss your cooking, so...", you didn't finish your sentece.
You knew what her answer was going to be. She wouldn't let you. It pained you to know that you had to leave so soon.
"Fine, just be home before ten o'clock."
You gasped. "Really?!", you shouted into the phone. Your ears perked up in joy.
"Oww, don't scream in my ear. Yes, just be on your best behavior."
Your frown instantly turned upwards. "Thank you, Mama! Love you!" She bid you a goodbye, and hung up.
You turned to Adrien, a huge smile on your lips. "She said yes!" He smiled too.
The two of you had dinner at the long table. It was a little awkward at first, but eventuslly, you conversed with Adrien about many things. It was the perfect evening, you could say.
Adrien met you at the door. You smiled at him. "Thanks for the wonderful eevening, Adrien."
He smiled back, and said, "It was my pleasure. Thanks for coming. I'll see you tomorrow." He leaned in, kissing your cheek. Your eyes widened in surprise.
you thought,
Your cheeks grew a deep red, and they were very warm. "Hehe. Sorry. You're just too cute.", he admitted. Your cheeks grew even hotter at the compliment.
"Uhh, thanks?" You shrunk your shoulders to your neck. You felt very awkward right now. So, while he was still staring at you, you kissed his cheek.
He gapsed, but smiled. "You're cute too.", you smirked. Adrien was the only boy to ever have called you cute.
It sent butterflies to your stomach. Your heart raced fast. "(Y/n), there's something I've got to say..."
You looked up to meet his beautiful green eyes, how they shimmered in the moonlight. He took a deep breath. "I've...had feelings for you for the longest time...I just never knew how to tell you."
Your eyes widened at his sentece. But, you tamed your emotions, and looked down. "I...think I like you too, Adrien."
You brought your eyes to meet his gaze, you both staring at each other.
"I love you, Adrien."
He smiled at you, hugging you. Adrien closed his eyes, and drew a long breath. He couldn't count the number of days he wanted to hear that from your lips.
You broke the hug, gazing into his emerald green eyes.
"I love you too, (Y/n)...and nothing can change that."
(A/n)- Sorry this one is so long. I couldn't think of pretty much snything because I didn't want it to be like, "Oh, I don't like myself because of my weight.", then Adrien saves you. I didn't want it to upset or offend anyone, but if I did, please notify me, and I will delete or change that part of this chspter. Thanks for reading! Bye for now!
