บท 56: Different plans, same time

The doctor arrived a few minutes after Kon went upstairs to his room.

“Why did you call me out here? Don't tell me the medicine I gave you, has been exhausted?” The doctor raised a brow at Lin.

“No, that's not the case. I think he's gradually regaining his memories.” Lin narrowed his eyes at the doctor. “You said the drug was the strongest? Why the damn hell didn't it work!”

“It's the best memory loss drug. There is no way I would have deceived you about that. The drug has been tested and proven. If you doubt it, I can use it on you.” The doctor glared at Lin. “I won't stand it should you try to insult my profession.”

Lin scowled at the doctor. “I would have long put a hole in your forehead, but I left you, for friendship's sake. Should you speak to me anyhow you like, I won't hesitate to put that hole."

The doctor shivered a bit at the dark expression on Lin's face.

The dark Lord hasn't been known for his patience. Kon was the only one he has been patient with.
