You had recently found out that you were two months pregnant, you still hadn't told Chris that you were pregnant. You did, however, manage to avoid most of the fieldwork that you had been assigned, mainly as Pride had noticed your 'illness'. You twisted the bracelets around on your wrist, contemplating how you were going to tell Chris. Him not knowing what was going on with you had led to some tense moments between you.
Pride walked into the kitchen where you were sipping at a hot tea while reading the case file, "You alright, Y/N?" You nodded confused. "Yeah, why?" He shrugged, "Usually you drink coffee." You shrugged, "Didn't really feel like more caffeine I guess." Pride nodded understanding. He began pulling ingredients from the cupboards. "Blocked?" You questioned, and he looked over his shoulder at you. "You're cooking." You waved your pen at him. He sighed, Chris stuck his head in the kitchen at this point. "Hey, Sugar-bell, I need to go talk to this witness. Want to come with me?" You paused for a moment, and Pride told you to head off. Sonja was out already with Tammy and Chris needed back up. You got up and grabbed your gear as you passed your desk.
"I do something wrong Sugar-bell?" Chris asked as you headed back to the car after talking to the witness, "No." You were both standing by the boot of the car, one black SUV drove by slowly before turning the corner. "Sugar-bell, you haven't really been talking to me." You sighed, "Its nothing, Chris really." He nodded and leaned closer and brushed his fingers down your cheek softly. The SUV appeared again in the corner of your eye. Then there was a small flicker of light, and the sound of something tearing through flesh. Chris shouted, and you were shoved behind the car you both pulled your weapons and Chris began shooting out the windows of the car. You called Pride and an ambulance while you clutched your shoulder with your other hand. You could feel the sticky wetness oozing between your fingers. The car had disappeared, and Chris turned around to face you. "Sugar-bell!"
"Chris, the ambulance is on its way. I also need to tell you something." He nodded at you to go on while he checked your wound. "I'm pregnant." There was a pause and he looked up at you. "I was going to tell you earlier, but I didn't know how." His face spilt in a wild grin, "That's great, Sugar-bell." He kissed you quickly, the wail of sirens grew closer. "Let's talk about this later, yeah and focus on you getting better." You nodded. "I love you, Chris." He kissed your forehead, "I love you too, Sugar-bell."
