"Yes, good morning. This is Mr Knox's assistant speaking,"
Matthew pinched his nose and then turned around to the glass windows he was facing. They suddenly got a call from the Vespion Agency.
His eyebrows raised and his lips grinned as soon as the other line explained why they called them. He nodded and said yes immediately before ending the call.
Matthew walked towards the living room and then one of the maids who just finished cleaning the second floor met his eyes. She bowed and greeted the guy.
"Good morning, Sir Matthew,"
She was about to turn around when the guy called her and asked. "Did you clean the young master's room?"
The maid shook her head. "Not yet, the young master is still sleeping," she replied.
Matthew nodded and then he sighed as soon as the maid vanished from his eyes. Knowing that they haven't cleaned the young master's room means that Knox was still asleep, and right now is not the time to sleep.
His steps became faster upstairs. Matthew didn't knock at all. He just barged in there and just like what he was expecting, Knox was still under the blankets.
"Wake up, we need to go somewhere." he said, tapping the man under that comforter.
Knox didn't even move. He was awake just by hearing those familiar footsteps of his assistant, but today he was not in the mood to deal with something. He was sure that it was his old man again asking for his presence in the company.
Matthew won't be swayed by him. He looked at the side table and grabbed a vase. "You will wake up or I will smash this vase onto your head to give you a peaceful sleep for eternity, you choose."
The blanket swooshed, revealing the guy with a frowning expression. "Goddamn it!" Knox blurted out. "What do you want?" he snorted. He rubbed his slanted eyes and the rays of the sunlight touched his face.
His half naked body showed up when he yawned, that hard chest and a stomach so early in the morning greeted his assistant, which immediately made Matthew look disgusted.
"Get dressed, we will go to the Vespion agency," his assistant said, putting the vase back on the table.
Knox, who was still half asleep, widened his eyes. The agency told them to come on Saturday, so why did they call now? Then it means that Neal will be there too.
With a grin on his face, Knox left the bed and headed to the bathroom. He took a bath and prepared himself. As he headed down to the living room, all of the maids couldn't help but gulped and looked in his direction.
A fine young man wearing a white undershirt with a light brown suit and pants. His hair was down and his scent was all over the place.
However, that moment got ruined again when Matthew saw him. He told the young master to hurry and eat before they leave the house.
As soon as they reached the Vespion, Knox's grin didn't vanish from his face. They reached the elevator and to their surprise, there were other people too.
Another man who looked like in his mid 40s and then a cute boy next to him. Judging from his eyes, Knox immediately felt that he was a vampire too.
That silver hair that illuminated under the bright light of the lobby and the way his crimson eyes blinked made Knox remember Neal all of a sudden. Well, he was here for that beauty after all.
The elevator opened. Matthew gave way, but when Knox was about to step in, the cute boy also walked in. They ended up looking at each other.
"Oh, I'm sorry." Knox smiled at him. "You can go first," he said, moving backwards. This made Matthew nagged him as they entered too.
"Don't start a fight with a kid," he whispered to Knox.
But that small voice didn't escape the cute boy. He looked at them with sharp eyes and said, "I'm not a kid,"
From their side, the man in his mid 40s cleared his throat. He smiled at Knox and Matthew. "I'm sorry about that. The young master really didn't want to hear that he was being treated like a kid."
Matthew nodded. "I understand, sir. I apologized."
Awkward silence came after.
As soon as the elevator opened to their designated floors, Knox waited for them to step out first before they followed, realizing that they were all on the same floors.
The cute boy halted and looked back. He crossed his arms and glanced at the two unfamiliar men. "Are you guys following us?" he asked.
"As far as I know, ordinary humans were prohibited from Vespion. Who invited you here?" Theo continued.
Noah tapped his shoulders. "Young Master, they might be here because one of the officials invited them."
Footsteps echoed in the atmosphere. Hearing that sound, Theo quickly guessed who it was. Just by her stilettos' sound, he knew it was Ava.
She approached them with a mischievous smile. "I wasn't expecting that I would run to all of you here." she said. Noah nodded at her and she ruffled Theo's hair. "Welcome back,"
Theo almost shrunk from that ruffling. He fixed his hair and then hid next to the lady. "Who are they? Why are they here?" he asked.
Ava chuckled. "They're visitors. It's been a long time and a lot of things have happened while you're busy studying for your exams." she explained. "Come and follow me everyone."
"Neal is waiting for you too," she added.
Hearing that name, Theo sparkled. His crimson eyes that looked scary earlier disappeared and were replaced by a beaming aura. He looked so happy, which made him cuter.
Meanwhile, Knox's face turned serious this time. Seeing how happy Theo was, he already guessed where this was going.
Matthew nagged him and whispered. "Fix that expression of yours. Don't tell me you're feeling jealous because of what you heard,"
Knox put his hands in his pockets as they walked, following Ava.
"He said he's not a kid," He said back.
