ตอน 27: Experience
The state of unconsciousness lasted for an unknown amount of time before Frank started to wake up, he felt stressed not having adapted to the new brain. It took him quite a while before he regained his mental strength enough to ask the figure a question.
"How did it go?"
Deewan sitting on the couch before he replied.
"I'm starting to think you are trying to spite me"
Deewan sipping his beverage explained to Frank how and what had changed in his body, according to the figure Frank's brain had evolved past human biology, he wouldn't think like a human, and there was a chance he will lose his mind and go crazy.
Frank freaked out hearing the dangers said.
"Don't you think the dangers and effects could have come before taking the pill" he wasn't serious, he just replied to lighten Deewan's mode.
"Yeah, yeah, now hurry up and leave, all the disciples will be sent out at the same time no matter how long they spend here," said Deewan shooing Frank away.
A door made of light appeared behind frank, Frank was lifted off the ground floating towards the exit.
"Wait, I have something to give you" shouted Frank.
"What?" said Deewan annoyed.
Frank searched through the dimensional ring and brought out the cup of immortality, this seemed far superior to the chalice the figure was drinking frank, the chalice in the figure's hand was made of the same light Deewan was made of.
"I think this will be far better than what you are already using," said Frank throwing the cup of immortality behind his back to Deewan.
Frank was still facing the exit, it took a while for Deewan to turn Frank around.
"What's this?" asked Deewan.
"Interested aren't you?, that's something called Cup Of Immortality, which will increase your lifespan after drinking from this cup, it just needs Qi to fill it up" replied Frank truthfully.
Deewan infused Qi into the cup filling it up almost instantly, Frank had tried the same only to fail badly, not even the elemental octopus could make a drop of liquid in the cup. Deewan didn't wait to down the liquid inside.
"Tastes good, but why would I need something like this, I'm just waiting for this pathetic life of mine to end, I have lost my purpose in life, not being able to cultivate" commented Deewan wiping the residue of the liquid from the corner of his mouth.
"Maybe become an elder of our minor synchronous sect, we do need powerful support to keep us safe from the nobles" replied Frank knowing that this wouldn't be enough to convince Deewan.
"And we have an avatar of elemental Qi in our minor sect, you can support us if you don't want another empire to fall, I think keeping the avatar of a type of Qi alive should keep the Qi from going extinct" added Frank, he knew that reveling something so important for the survival of the elemental Qi sect could be catastrophic, but he guessed that Deewan wouldn't do anything to harm them, he had made his trial so that no one would get hurt.
Frank waited for Deewan to think before saying something else, he was ready to beg to say they were all from non-cultivating families and whatnot, but Deewan replied with something unexpected.
"Sometime soon, maybe," he said before throwing Frank to the exit.
In a bright flash of light, all the disciples who had entered had reappeared outside the hidden realm, the elders and the senior disciple. The disciples were even more excited, Frank looked around he realized that all the disciples were smiling.
Frank walked around to some disciples he could recognize.
"What happened asked Frank?" asked Frank.
All of the replies he got were that they had won a reward, Frank figured that all the disciples were given some kind of reward, But none of the disciples could tell someone else what their reward was. Not only Frank, the elder, and senior disciples went around questioning the disciples still no one could answer what they were rewarded with.
'It seems like we have been restricted from talking about the hidden realm, even the rewards' thought Frank.
A roaring shout resounded from the hidden realm.
"NO ONE IS TO QUESTION THE DISCIPLES REGARDING THE HIDDEN REALM, NO ONE IS TO STEP INSIDE IF YOU WANT YOUR SECT TO REMAIN ALIVE"
Everyone knew that the owner of the hidden realm had been the one to do such a thing. The shout was directed towards the elders, master, and ancestors of the elemental Qi sect, his shout had reached their ears as clearly as the elder standing with the hidden realm.
"As you command" replied the elder bowing towards the entrance of the sect.
The disciples were allowed to do whatever they wanted while the flying ship was prepared to fly back to the sect.
The disciples of the various sect remained neutral with each outer, they didn't expect any of them to come back alive, and their plan had amounted to nothing since they didn't have to use it. Everyone was mentally exhausted, they had been through a trial that would tire anyone out, and they had gone through the same trial, everyone's mentality falling almost into sanity, they craved human interaction.
They felt more inclined to talk with the disciples of the other minor sects, their sect was mostly dominated by the male majority so any girl one fancied from the other minor sect, they giddy up to, wanting the feeling of loneliness to disappear, the same could be said for the disciple of the other minor sect be it male or female.
Frank still hadn't seen anyone he could fancy, stood with the other lonely disciple of the minor synchronous elemental Qi sect. The cocky disciple who would always comment with negativity joked about all of them being incels, which led to him being chased by the disciples, they wanted to take out their anger on the source of said emotion.
After a while, the ship was readied and the disciples were escorted on, the senior disciples and the elder seemed pleased as if a burden had been lifted off their shoulders, they were given the task of making the junior disciples enter the hidden realm which could as well lead them to their death, and they had to report back to the sect their findings.
Some relationships made today would bloom into something special, while some would end in disaster but one thing would remain the same, the loners would have to sleep in a cold bed tonight.
