People of Annora threw a dozen fire torches at Rubelia, who was already bathed in kerosene. The flames quickly spread across the wooden stakes and Rubelia's body.

The burning heat swept over Rubelia's skin, and the surface of her skin slowly began to crack and burn along with the firewood around her. The searing heat swept over Rubelia's skin, bringing grievous suffering to Rubelia.

Rubelia couldn't break the punishment of the broken vow; she had to face a painful and horrible death as a consequence.

"You don't deserve this punishment!" Ruby roared under the burning wood. Tears filled her face, making her face look chaotic.

"Ruby, it's alright." Rubelia touched Ruby's shoulder. "It was just a mere memory."

Unlike Ruby, Rubelia showed no meaningful expression. She just stood still as she watched her body burn. She had witnessed the painful memory so many times that Rubelia began to become numb.
